About
The Rose Inn is a small community style pub on Queenborough High Street. We have an extensive Beer Garden and Decking area for enjoying the sun and a small traditional style bar. We can accommodate small weddings and other functions, due to our proximity to Queenborough Church. We currently stock a wide range of Greene King ales, beers and wines.

The best time we've had for ages!
Jun 2021
Travelled to the Rose Inn as we wanted to see some live music away from the delights of Chatham!

However, we get to the Rose Inn garden, only to find that all the tables are fully booked, and we don't have a reservation..... no probs - one of the friendly staff has a word with Dave (the landlord), who happily sorts us a table for two, and then takes the time to make us feel welcome, explaining the App and other options for ordering.

Settled in, we spend the the rest of the afternoon into the evening enjoying the company of numerous regulars (including Dave's lovely mum and dad), as well as the super friendly staff, and listening to some brilliant live music.

The atmosphere was great, the band (heroes) were, well, heroic, and we had a fantastic time. Just a shame we had to leave for the bus/train....

Thanks Dave, your staff, and everyone else we spoke to - we will be back!

What a refreshing find !
May 2021 • Friends
We are regular visitors to Queenborough (by sea) and a watering hole is a desired goal at our destination. We have tried both other obvious pubs in the area, but poor slow service in one & beer which just isn’t great in the other, caused us to cast our net wider. This establishment does exactly what it says on the tin (or is that Inn !). A proper English pub with delightful staff (Dave runs the place). There is brilliant outside seating, under cover so covid secure/friendly & the great choice of beer is brilliant & well kept. Because this is a less obvious choice, it’s much quieter, but there is no frustrating wait for drinks. On the other hand, being less popular mid week means opening hours & food are restricted mid week. However if you can time your trip, I’d strongly urge to give this a go. We’ll be back again for sure.

On the Island for a funeral
Apr 2019 • Couples
We haven't visited the Island in years but stayed in Queenborough for the funeral of the wife's brother. We were looking for a less expensive pub than the one we were staying in and that had access for a wheelchair. Although the front door had precipitous steps outside the gent who was exiting at that point went back in and had a word and the side gate was opened so that we could get the wheelchair in. It's only a small bar but I don't think I've ever felt so welcome. It was a case of good beer, good company and good atmosphere. We were going to have just a couple and ended up staying till closing. We managed pubs for many years and this was the epitome of a "Local".

We hope you enjoyed your stay in Queenborough, and more importantly your visit with us. I think your darts skills were better than my linguistic skills. Je ne gère encore que français écolier. Please visit us again if you are in the area.

Very friendly and welcoming
Jul 2018 • Family
Such a welcome from landlord and lady. We were visiting yachties with our puppy. What a great pub! If you're going to queenborough by boat, go for a walk up to the church, it's the pub next door. When the landlady heard id picked some samphire but didn't have any garlic onboard, she gave me hers!
