No matter what show or event you are here to enjoy, you are guaranteed to appreciate the surrounding atmosphere. A magnificent building, small as it is in a small town like Ystad. Beautiful interior!

Lovely old theatre - well worth a look inside. Original sets from the 1800's and beautiful red and gold auditorium and decorated roof.

This is a very fine example of a classical theater. Some of their requisita is just as old as the Drottningholm castle theater. thus some of it is in baroque style. It is sad that not more often baroque opera and concerts are played here....More

Thank God someone came with the crazy idea to build a huge theatre in this small city. And let that stand as a reminder to future generations of politicians, culture pays off. The theatre draws extra tourists and inhabitants to this isolated place.
