As a rule, I do not review products or services. However, the services rendered by Virginie and Remi at Cabritts Dive Center demand acknowledgment.
After a 25 year hiatus from diving, it was time to start over. To put this into perspective, recall the double hose regulator days. That’s when I began diving in the early 70s. My refresher course with Remi and Virginie had me up and running after one dive.
After that we made 14 more dives on some of the loveliest coral sites in the Caribbean. These folks are personally warm as well as professional. Their equipment is all top notch Aqualung. Their dive boat is well suited to dive work and easy to mount/dismount. Their facility is clean and well appointed. Their dive groups are small and friendly.
They are knowledgeable about the reef inhabitants and share your enthusiasm upon their discovery.
In short, do not hesitate to employ their services. You will not regret it.

My wife and I just got back from two days of diving with Remi at Cabrits Dive Centre to celebrate our honeymoon. What a superb experience!
Remi manages to surf the line between being totally chilled out, yet still keeping a close eye on everything very well, ensuring a safe and enjoyable dive. He also has an amazing eye for the marine life, sniffing out the hardest to spot sea creatures with seeming ease.
As for Dominica, I now know why it's a top ten dive destination. Aside from the amazingly diverse and colourful reef and corals we saw octopus, moray eels, lion fish, scorpion fish, barracuda, pipe fish, porcupine fish, trunk fish, huge crabs, lobsters, a stingray and just generally a large abundance of fish.
If you enjoy diving and are in Dominica, don't hesitate to stop by Cabrits Dive centre, you won't regret it

Amazing experience diving with Carbrits Dive and Remi and Virginie. We dove two days with them, all of the dive sites were incredibly beautiful. We are regular divers, this was our first time diving in Dominica and I would highly recommend doing some dives up in this area with Cabrits Dive. We enjoyed hot cafe and banana bread on our surface interval! So much life here, and we even spotted two seahorses and a baby trunkfish. Excellent diving experience and highly recommend.

5 star Padi dive center: provides excellent service, good quality, well maintained equipment, and knowledgeable dive masters. Dive sites range from south of Secret Bay, north to many sites around Toucarie, and ultimately to the wild Atlantic side, weather and current permitting.Virginie and Remi provide a safe, professional experience married to deep familiarity with the marine biology below.

These guys are amazing. The dive sites were spot on and the husband and wife team..are your guides for the dive. Their rental gear is very well maintained and their boat was super easy to dive from. We saw a ton of stuff and their stewardship of the reefs was exemplary. You can tell they truly care about Dominica and the environment. I would definitely dive with them again. Recommend 100%.

Looks like a solid diving shop. Poor communication so, Whatsup replies takes 3-4 days if at all. We booked a dive for a family of 4 in person a few days before and then arrived the night before as agreed (no confirmation reply to our whatsup send the day before). They then tell us that they have an additional group of 10 people for the same dive slots with us. This will be 17 people on a small dive boat with 3 instructors only. One of the instructors is the boat captain at the same time (I hope he won't be under water if there is an emergency). Given COVID and the fact that they didn't communicate with us and inform us, we had to cancel last minute and now have one additional night on Prtsmouth we booked specifically for being able to dive with them.

Really, really great little dive operation. You never know what you’re going to get when you travel and Virginie and Remy made my trip fantastic. They are sweet, funny and run an immaculately safe operation. $100 US for two tank trips is excellent. Although I travel with my own gear, the rental gear looked newish and was well maintained. Other divers commented that it was excellent. The boat was safe with twin Yamaha 150 four strokes that looked to be brand new. The tours were efficient, friendly and bilingual French/English. I can’t compliment Remy and Virginie enough on how nice they were… going so far as to stop and search for my mask in the water after it went overboard. Five stars all the way! Merci beaucoup!

Virginie and Remi (French Ex-Pats) have a fantastic dive operation in Picard. We dove with them for three days and enjoyed each dive. They are wonderful hosts and made the experience enjoyable. They only have one small dive boat so the group is never large. The ride to the various sites was no more than fifteen minutes. The diving was some of the best I've seen in the Carribean so far. Can't recommend this shop enough. It's a find. If you're looking to dive in the NE end of Dominica, look no further.

We completed our open water PADI certification at the Cabrits Dive Centre and it was amazing!
Fantastic place to begin our diving adventure. Remi and Virginie were both very friendly and helpful throughout the course. We felt very at ease with them and Virginie was an excellent teacher.
The diving in that part of Dominica was amazing, from the coral reefs to the wide variety of wild life.
We could not recommend this dive centre enough, we had a fantastic week and what an incredible place to start diving!

My boyfriend doesn't dive so he snorkeled while I dove 2 dives. Having dived around the world, the diving was average. Lots of little fish and some nice coral but nothing memorable. There was just one other guy diving with us so it was the husband & wife owners, my boyfriend & me, and the other guy. The wife stayed topside on the boar during our first dive. For the 2nd dive, they asked my boyfriend if he minded being by himself so that they both could dive with me and the other guy. I thought that was unprofessional to leave the boat unmanned with divers in the water and rude to even suggest leaving my boyfriend by himself. It was an uncomfortable situation that we went along with. They did the appropriate dive briefings and the wife showed me a few things underwater. They kept a good eye on us underwater and were friendly. They provided hot tea and banana bread for a snack. The dive shop was adequate to change clothes and wash our gear before heading back. It was just a short drive in their truck from the shop to the pier to get on the skiff. I'm glad I did the couple dives to be able to say I dove Dominica, but I wouldn't want to make a whole dive trip of the island. The island has much, much more to offer than just what is under the water.
