What a great time capsule of Kuwait in an old house, full of old treasures. Very kind staff gave me a wonderful tour as I can’t read the Arabic. They were wonderful and told me stories about Kuwait I’d never know - thank you, ladies! There is a natural history museum with a lot of taxidermied animals which is good for kids. I wish the gift shop had some
traditional handicrafts, it would be great.

It is a very beautiful and cute museum designed to learn about Kuwaiti culture and history under one roof. Entrance fee is 1 KD.
When we went, there were primary school students and it was very noisy. It is very good to see and watch the developments and the past together, what has happened since the beginning of the country until today. A must-do activity for first-time visitors to Kuwait. We liked it very much.

An unusual collection with a items to interest all ages. There are tanks and other military vehicles in the parking lot and a large room of taxidermy. Old Arab movies and radios. A hostel. A tea room to rest and refresh in. Old documents, telecommunication equipment, pearling scales and size sorting screens, early oil exploration. The list is varied. Poke around and you will find something to interest everyone in your group.

While there iare English descriptions or ar least a caption having someone along who can translate the more detailed Arabic descriptions would be very helpful.

This is one of the good museums in Kuwait, which has historical artefacts, memories from Kuwait history, and many more. Being in Kuwait, one of the must visit museums.

Old Kuwaiti culture was very much similar to Indian culture, and we found lots of items, which I have seen in India as well.

Entry fee is 1 KD per visitor, It has one souvenir shop as well, where you can get fridge magnets, and many more.

Hi,
Though I've visited this place before, I didn't hesitate when my friend asked me to go there on our project to visit all of Kuwait's museums. The place is always updating its sections with many new things that tell the story of old Kuwait. Three new sections were added since my visit last year. The place is amazing and very well maintained. Whether you want to know how old Kuwait looked like or see different stages of the country's development stages, this museum will give you a thorough look at Kuwait's history. The tour usually takes around 2 hours. I'm not sure if a guide can be provided. I never asked. The entrance fee is 1KD. There is a small old-fashioned cafe where you can sit and enjoy hot and cold beverages...Enjoy ^ ^

The museum provides a great introduction to life in Kuwait in the 20th century. Individual rooms show the living, crafts, markets and activities of the national companies. The content grows with every visit, thanks to the volunteering helpers who are always willing to show you around and explain.

Combine it with a visit to the other large museums (National museum - archaeology, Tareq Rabab museum - Islamic art) to get a good overview about local history.
