One of THE highlights of our trip to Israel was meeting journalist and Beyond Borders Tours owner, Rami Nazzal!! His 👏🏽SWAG 👏🏽is 👏🏽UNMATCHED!!! His passion for affecting change is not only inspiring; it’s contagious! He was my personal reminder to keep pressing no matter how hard or how long you have to fight.👊🏽
I’m not huge on politics, but I saw beautiful people on both sides of the wall who want the conflict to cease.

The tour with Rami was the best travel experience I have had in at least a decade. He is so incredibly nice and knowledgeable about everything related to the West Bank and Israel. And as a New York Times reporter, he clearly understands the opinions of everyone, and he approaches the subject in a delicate, fair, and informative manner. For anyone who wants to learn more about Israel and/or the West Bank, this tour is a must

My other half and I toured the West Bank, Ramallah, Rawabi and other villages with Rami and it was simply one of the most interesting, informative, moving and insightful experiences I have ever had. No matter what your views are on the Israeli/Palestinian situation, you are bound to be more informed after an afternoon with Rami. He offers a balanced take on the situation plus he was really fun to hang out with. If you are planning a trip to Israel, this is a “must” in my book.

Israel is designed to minimize contact between Jews and Palestinians. Israeli Arabs live separate lives, even in Jaffa and Haifa, which are more integrated than Tel Aviv or Jerusalem. Much of this separation is more cultural than religious or ethnic. In cities, it usually does not involve personal animosity.

But the effect is to create a bubble. If you visit Israel, you land in the bubble (Israel forbids West Bank Palestinians to land at Ben Gurion airport) and unless you make an effort, you will never leave it.

Rami Nazzal takes you outside the bubble into the West Bank and the lives of Palestinians. Rami is the son of two prominent scholars of Palestinian life. He writes for US publications, including the New York Times. He has lived extensively in the US and holds a US passport. He not only understands Palestinian life first-hand, he knows the towns, camps, settlements, and checkpoints of the West Bank like the back of his hand. He was high-fived and hugged everywhere we went.

Israel and Palestine is a topic that is hard to find people who are as deeply informed, fair-minded about the challenges, and passionate about the need for deeper understanding as Rami. He knows the history and lived through a lot of it. He does not glorify Palestinian conduct, or Israel’s. In 6-8 hours, you will see a part of Israel that was not designed for you to see.

But you cannot possibly understand this place without a visit to the West Bank. This is the best way to make that visit. Do not hesitate.

I was privileged to partake in a day tour throughout Ramallah, Hebron, and Bethlehem with Rami. Other than being an exceptional human being, Rami’s intellect and contextual understanding of the Israeli & Palestinian conflict demonstrates his desire for a peaceful future between both nations. This man helps achieve this goal shared by millions across the globe by educating and informing people about the truth of the conflict – not what is shown in the extremely biased media nowadays. To experience the reality first-hand is to equip yourself with the right tools to assess the situation as justly as possible. Thank you Rami for showing me the truth and I wish the best to you and your family.

Rami moves through Israel and the West Bank like a hot knife through butter. He is loved by all, and is given access to places that no traditional tour guide can take you. His perspective on the area is balanced and constructive, and peace-focused - all while being realistic. I have immense respect for him and his work and writing, and also had such an important, insightful day with his tour. I cannot recommend Rami and his tour of the area enough - it was one of the most enlightening and important days I've ever had. It is all thanks to him, his relationships in the West Bank, and his wonderful, hospitable, intelligent demeanor. Please go with Rami to this part of the world.

Really enjoyed our day with Rami...learned so much. Went into refugee camp and met family. Really helps to meet one on one with people. My daughter felt it was eye opening. She had no idea. Highly recommend...my only downside was that lunch was very expensive at the restaurant. Wish I would have stayed and eaten at Snow Bar.

My day with Rami in Ramallah and Nablus far exceeded expectations. Seeing the refugee camps and having the chance to speak to the locals through Rami really opened my eyes and my heart to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. I highly recommend him for being able to "open doors" to locals and his balanced views of the state of affairs. Also, he's a great guy to hang out with!

For those concerned with safety - there's no person better than Rami to get you around. He knows the places and people very well. At no point as a solo female traveler did I feel concerned about my safety.

I would return and see other places with Rami again if I had the chance to in the future!

Truly an unforgettable experience. Whoever you are, and whatever your thoughts are about the West Bank, if you have any interest in the subject and the lives of its people you owe it to yourself to book a day with Rami.

We knew our lives would be changed going into this experience, and we weren't disappointed! Many have asked if it is safe: it is. We did see some intense situations, and I wouldn't have attempted this without someone like Rami to guide us. Rami is very well educated, but he is also very approachable and outgoing. As others have said, Rami knows *everyone* and *everyone* knows Rami. You feel like you're traveling with a celebrity: doors are opened, gates are raised, lines are skipped, you name it. The combination of an American passport, diplomatic and press credentials doesn't hurt either. If you want to visit with anyone while there, be it leaders in government or celebrities (oh I wished I had thought to ask about Mohammed Assaf!), mention this to Rami ahead of time.

I booked a trip into the West Bank for me and my partner. The cost was not cheap but it was worth *every* penny. Rami picked us up at our hotel in Old Jerusalem with his luxury black Mercedes SUV that would be our ride throughout most of the day. During the entire tour he related to us his personal experiences along with perspectives from both the Israeli and Palestinian sides. My goal for this experience was to see the situation on the ground for myself, away from the filters of media and government, and let me tell you: mission accomplished. We visited refugee camps, the notorious separation wall including Bansky artwork, Arafat's Tomb, PLO headquarters, Hebron including the famed Hirbawi textile factory, Ramallah, Bethlehem, and much much more.
