Although we had difficulty in finding the museum, it was well worth the effort. Currently free entry, the museum showcases the Palestinian view, concentrating on the Israeli settlements and the demolition of their homes. The museum is only 1 year old, contemporary architecture with attractive gardens. Highly recommended.

Intimate Terrains is a masterfully curated exhibition of powerful, professionally executed, and exceptionally expressive work that reveals more of the Palestinian story and culture than any newspaper story or textbook will ever convey. The trauma, indignation, pride, and fury of an occupied, oppressed, and abused population is palpable. In the light-filled, intimate galleries, it was personal and powerful. I hope it is possible for the Museum to tour the show; it needs to be experienced by a wide audience. Most of the western world only hears one side of the story.

The Museum itself is impressive - a contemporary LEED building that integrates seamlessly with the terraced hillsides of of the area. We arrived late in the day and unfortunately just barely had time to view the exhibition and left without touring the entire building and surrounding gardens. I will make a point of returning and spending time exploring the grounds, other programs, and the adjacent university.

We enjoyed our visit to this museum. The exhibition of Palestinian embroidery was really beautiful, and the grounds and building were really lovely to walk around. Our only suggestion is the exhibiton is too small, it would be really great if they could open another room.

As a Palestinian, I was really excited to hear that we had our own museum! I finally got a chance to go there and my general impression was disappointment.

The building is very sleek and beautifully designed. It's an immense building, in fact. Which sort of explains my disappointment: housed in this immense beautiful building is one single temporary (2-year) exhibit. This cycle's about embroidery.

Don't get me wrong, the exhibit was really well done. 4-stars for sure if you're interested in this aspect of the Palestinian culture (and it's such a dominant aspect that you can't not be), but that's all there is. One giant embroidery exhibit. It takes you longer to get to the museum from Jerusalem than you actually spend inside it.

But on another positive note, it's free.

This museum is in a fantastic new building and promises to be an exceptional museum once it is fully open. The beautiful gardens and a cafe were open when I visited and a theatre space, archives and exhibition areas were all being prepared.

This museum is up to international standards and displays an impressive exhibition on the history of Palestine! It's rich in material, balanced in opinion, comprehensive, educative, and a MUST for every visitor. The exhibition is bilingual, English and Arabic (oral and written). Due to the breadth of material you should allow for a few hours to pass through.

The recently inaugurated museum building and professional team are gearing up for a multitude of programs highlighting Palestinian modern history, heritage, and cultural identity. Meanwhile, you can visit and enjoy the amazing building and surrounding terraced gardens containing a chronological history of flora in Palestine.

i think that the area where museum locate is great. it is near Birzeit University. and from outside gardens you can see beautiful view. some of the villages in Area. every some months they made changes in exhibition , current exhibition about national clothes for women in Palestine. it is more about society and history. they made additional activities some times too.
