This is a lovely beach with lovely warm temperate waters (well warm for the sea). No sign of the jellyfish reported by previous reviewers ( we were there early August, so maybe they had left by then) but there are plenty of fish to see as you head towards the back of the main roped off swimming area. The largest beach in Portinatx. Nice sandy beach good place for children BUT be aware, when we went there were plenty of jellyfish. So before You send your kids to water make sure there is no any jellyfish.

Superb family beach, with gentle slopes and clear water, not too packed and still scenic despite being busy

Nice beach near to the town centre. Parasols and sunloungers available for hire. Peddle boats etc. Area cordoned off for swimming. Beautiful sea.

The larger of the two beaches in Portinatx, although neither are huge. But after rain it can smell a bit....ripe. This is where the sewers seem to come out so it's not the freshest.

Not overcrowded in August. Lovely soft sand. Rocks a little way into the water. Shelves fairly gently so good for young children to splash near the edge. A couple of jellyfish on one day (out of 2 weeks) but warning flag put up and they soon cleared.

Like the other beaches in Portinaxt, this was breathtaking and sloped gently. Kids and families seemed to love it but was never uncomfortably crowded. The lady who rents the sunbeds and parasols is an absolute gem.

A beautiful beach. Gently sloping, crystal clear waters, lifeguard on duty. Very close proximity to bars, restaurants, shops and taxi's. This is the largest of the three beaches within the bay of Portiatx. Can get very busy in the height of the season.

Beautiful, clean beach with shallow waters initially and lots of fish for snorkelling. Beds/ umbrellas 5 Euros each per day, there are some areas of shade for towels if you don't want these, care as there are pine needles in the shade. Boats, pedaloes and banana etc rides available and lots of cafe/ bars nearby for drinks/ ice creams. Beware... More
