Glenfiddich, producer of the World's Most Awarded Single Malt Scotch...

Glenfiddich, producer of the World's Most Awarded Single Malt Scotch Whisky, has developed a new tour programme for The Glenfiddich Distillery in Dufftown, Scotland. Visitors will be able to choose from a tailored range of three paid-for tours. The over-18s-only tours cater for all interests and budgets, from those looking for a unique behind the scenes distillery visit through to whisky enthusiasts seeking a fully immersive experience, and vary in duration from one and a half hours up to three and a half hours. Further details are below: 1. Explorer Tour (£10): a fully guided tour of the distillery and Warehouse 8, including a tutored tasting of four award winning drams. Tours from 9.30Pm - 4.00Pm Glenfiddich Solera Deconstructed (£50): a new hands-on, tailored experience with a full introduction to Glenfiddich's unique Solera system. Visitors can nose several samples and enjoy a tutored tasting of 4 cask strength 15 year old samples before recreating their very own version of Glenfiddich Solera. Two tours daily 2. New Pioneer (£95): a half-day immersive experience for whisky enthusiasts. This in-depth tour offers insight into the marrying process in Warehouse 6, and the opportunity to bottle a 20cl whisky from the Malt Master's personal selection of casks. Finally, guests enjoy a nosing and tasting masterclass in the Grant Family Home, featuring five Glenfiddich whiskies matched with appetisers. One daily tour. We are extremely proud of the fact that Glenfiddich is one of the few single malt distilleries to remain entirely family-owned today and all tours will continue to offer an unforgettable insight into our unique, family-run heritage. We look forward to welcoming guests to our distillery.

This was the third distillery we visited and more or less by accident as it was raining and we meant to go to the castle nearby but decided to stop here and give it a go and it was well worth it. Very informative tour indeed and the tasting at the end put everything into perspective and is not just... More

Took the 1.5 hour tour with Kerry who was an excellent guide covered all the whisky tradition and given good history of the family who still run the distillery Its quite a walk around the distillery with a number of stairs and perhaps not suitable for those with walking or climbing difficulties - but this was pointed out at the... This well-known distillery is an easy walk from the town centre. The grounds are well laid-out and the whole experience is easy and attractive. The shop has some fascinating objects, relating to whisky. There is a bottle of whisky there which costs more than £20k and I gather that people do actually buy that kind of thing. Balvenie Castle is... More

Took the Pioneer Tour and I thought it was the best tour in Speyside, we took several. A real in depth look at history and process of Glenfiddich distillery. The tasting / pairing at the end was just a wonderful way to cap off the day, the tour is four hours and well worth the money to take.

Fantastic tour that lasted an hour and a half. We went here with family. This was the second time that I have been to this distillery in the past 5 years and the tour guide was very good and answered all our questions with great knowledge and passion for the distillery. It was so nice to have an enthusiastic tour... More

Didn't think the Glenfiddich distillery could serve up a lunch as good as the whisky but...there you go. The friendly waiting staff complement the spotless restaurant housed in the gracious stone building. We were drawn to the potato/haggis/turnip item in the menu and decided to take the plunge. The kindly young waitress looked a bit dubious at first but seemed... More

Having had a wonderful tour of the strathisla distillery in Keith myself and my family headed to glenfiddich to gain an understanding of the process on a larger scale. We arrived only to be told that children are no longer permitted to take part in the tour??? Do not understand this as the kids were with their parents?? Initially disappointed... More

This is one of the best distillery tours I've been on. Having a husband who loves whiskey means I've seen a few - although I'm not so keen on it. The tour starts with a video on the history of Glenfiddich then it takes you around the distillery and in some of the warehouses. It finishes with not a sample... More

The history and fact that the distillery maintains many traditional methods and values sets this apart from other distilleries I have visited. Our young guide was very knowledgeable and also demonstrated her fluency in German when explaining things to a German couple. Four whiskeys offered for tasting after the tour and there is also an onsite café for refreshments.
