We did 12 Distillery tours on an 7 day trip to Scotland. The Balvenie tour was the best of all. They take a fair amount of time and you get to see everything even the cooperage

Echoing previous reviews, compared to a number of other tours in both the States and Scotland, there is no comparison. Tour must be booked well in advance. Charles was an outstanding host and guide, and while the tour is outstanding, the tasting experience will definitely...More

A visit to Balvenie must be booked in advance, but it';s well worth it. Top two distilleries in Speyside for the tour/tasting. At Balvenie, you see three things you don't see at most distilleries- an operational malting floor, peat fired kiln, and a cooperage. The...More

They are slow on email response despite book only and with a bit of a snobbish attitude we have not encountered in Scotland before. They lost us as customers unless Glenfiddich can turn around their culture. Take the Glennfiddich tour ( they purchased Balvenie) it's...More

I knew nothing about distilling and found this very entertaining and informative. The group was limited to 8 people which allowed us to ask questions freely. I found the cooperage to be fascinating. The tasting at the end was excellent!

Brilliant tour, awesome warehouse experience and that 1974 43yo single cask... wow! Possibly one of the best distillery tours you can do :)

I've emailed to request booking a tour that's only about 3 1/2 weeks away. Is this cutting it too close or do I have a chance at getting to book the tour?

You might be lucky, worth contacting them on the day if you haven't been lucky as they do get a lot who don't turn up. Is it just you, or two or more. Parties are no more than 10 from what I remember. It's a very good tour... More
What are opening times for this tour? I cannot find any information on the times for the tours-we are travelling to Craigellechie on the 25th April 2017 and we are looking to book a tour for the 26th April. Many Thanks Sue Dunn

Tours are 1000 and 1400 Monday to Thursday and 1000 only on a Friday. No tours at weekend. Takes around 3 hours finishing in the tasting room and then shop. Email them to book. You can plan your day by doing Balvenie at 1000... More
