This is a fairly well hidden place of remembrance with other small cemeteries nearby. You soon realise that these battles were not fought in big towns but from trenches forming the front in the countryside.

If you know the facts about the heavy losses experienced by the Pals battalions, you realise how poignant the place is. Several cemeteries, with short walks and some preserved trenches. I was pleased to see several British schools at this location. Walking over what was...More

With my husband coming from Sheffield, this was always going to be interesting. It was poignant and was well worth a visit, very peaceful with several memorials in the wooded area.

3 small cemeteries in close proximity and the Sheffield Pals Memorial park, track up is rough and not suitable for disabled but the tranquility of the park is special

A good walk from the road, but make the effort as what you will find is a great experience. Several good memorials and cemeteries all close together.
