We been in Costa Rica for 12 days and only found out about this place by chance so booked it last minute. What a lovely surprise it was. The farm is lovely and very quaint, the nature and location was beautiful. We went as a group of 20 with a touring company. On arrival we saw a baby sloth and... More

Our hotel guy said we could stop here to see a sloth on our way out of Bijagua. Since we didn't have enough time to do a full tour, he called him ahead of time and told us to just give him a couple of bucks to see it. We got charged $5 per person to see one sloth way... More

We had hoped to do the farm tour but where told that they had no one available that could do the tour in english that day so we decided to grab some beers and food and hang out at the Hummingbird resturant. While we were there, Jesus asked if we wanted a farm tour. Jesus is an elderly man that... More

A family at our resort invited us to this tour that they had arranged privately. We arrived at the property and were promptly met by the owner and his dogs (a Mom and pup? who were both very sweet). After using the facilities, (there is a restaurant, and wash-rooms, as well as lodging on site) we were brought to a... More

I have been on many jungle/rainforest type tours and this was the first one that ever offered me a termite to try. We also got to enjoy seeing a baby sloth with it's mother. We went in the late afternoon when it wasn't too hot and truly enjoyed our time.

We booked this adventure through CRT Tours. Jesus was our guide. Such a humble and lovely man -- very soft spoken. Jesus has Parkinson's Disease which makes you appreciate what he has done that much more. He and his family have built this refuge over their lifetimes and you can see every bit of love as you walk through it.... More

Danial was an excellent and knowledgeable guide. We saw so many great things -- orchids, other plants, birds, trees, butterflies, frogs and contained snakes. But the best to see were the two toed and three toes sloths -- plus a baby too! The only reason I did not give 5 stars was that we were expecting a longer walk (we... More

What a grand tour! Twenty years ago the Finca Verde farm went organic. And they haven't stopped with that. They rescue animals (Martina the baby sloth is so lovely), plants and snakes. All are able to be seen during this tour. Learning about flora and fauna was so much fun - for young and old. Everywhere you look there is... More

We have been travelling in Costa Rica for a total of 8 months in the past two years and in all the National Parks and Wildlife Refuges we have visited, the elusive slow motion sloth has never made an appearance. Well...upon arrival Martina (5 month old rescued sloth) greeted us with a classic sloth smile from a small tree near... More
