Large sandy beach
Aug 2019 • Family
Located near the town centre so you can go buy lunch and sit on the beach or the many benches dotted around overlooking the beach. The beach is long and sandy and we could always find a nice place to set up for the day

Wonderful large beach.
Jul 2016 • Couples
La Grande Plage is right by the town and is very long. The sand is good and lovely to walk on. The facilities were good; toilets, beach cafe, kids club and sailing club. It suits all ages with some areas busier than others. There is free parking along the seafront and a large free car park in town behind the tourist info centre. To me this is a perfect beach.

Nice large beach for family
Jul 2015 • Family
From this large (long and wide) beach, we go down slowly in the water, the sand is very thin, during July and August there are several children clubs. It is an ideal beach for family. Look at the sun arising in the morning with the typical britany islands. Be careful to the time as the tide is very low and you have to walk quite a long distance to reach the sea (time good to collect seashell). The water is quite fresh (it is not the Mediteranean sea (!) but after few swimming armful, it is excellent. Enjoy this nice beach.

One of the best beaches in France
Mar 2015 • Family
This is a truly wonderful beach. Soft sand and there is always room for a family. Depending on where you sit, the beach never seems crowded. Being so close to the town, there ample shops to purchase food and ice creams and drinks. Beach tents are for hire and the parking is beside the beach, ( get there early in high season). When the tide is at its lowest then it is possible to fish for shell fish and scallops. A great place for a beach holiday. It is also great for an evening walk along the promenade to the port where there are bars and restaurants.

Nice clean sand, suitable for children
Oct 2014 • Family
There's a big difference between low-tide and high-tide, which is a starter of conversation. Lots of shells for children to collect. Very gradual incline of the beach is very safe for kids to go in the water. There is a promenade at the north end of the beach that leads to a harbor, and is illuminated at night by blue LED pathway lighting.

Great for a day out with children
Aug 2014 • Family
A wonderful clean beach. The beach had entertainment (swings etc) for the children but a bit pricey. The town itself is also lovely with a playground in the town square surrounded by excellent places to eat, relax and watch the world go by as the children play.
