The boardwalk is a great place to go for a walk right by the coast. The surface is in good repair and well maintained. The constant presence of the trade winds helps keep you refreshed. There is a good variety of restaurants and other attractions right next to it. When it gets too hot, just look for the shady areas. Make sure you visit the mosaic wall by Blakely’s restaurant: it’s made of broken pieces of Earthworks pottery and is dedicated to the care of sea turtles.

One of my favourite spots on the south coast, running for about 1km along the south coast from the Accra Beach Hotel to the Soco Hotel. Early in the mornings it's a lovely, quiet place for a walk as the island wakes up; at sunset it's a good place to jog; and the selection of bars and restaurants along it, ranging from very informal to fine dining, mean you could eat or drink somewhere different every night while enjoying the views.

It's a perfect, calming spot.

This is a great opportunity to walk with wonderful views of the ocean and brilliant pristine beaches for you to step down to whenever you want (some of the most beautiful were deserted when we walked it). There is also a lovely "mural" aimed at creating greater awareness of looking after sea turtles. Well worth a walk if you get a chance.

We stayed af the SoCo Hotel at one end of the boardwalk and walked its length each morning and evening. While the walk was very nice along the sea front there are some issues.

There are quite a few rats around the boardwalk which should be addressed by whoever is responsible for environmental issues. It doesn't help that KFC leave uneaten food on tables and bins outside their restaurant on the boardwalk most evenings.

We were lucky enough to see an endagered Hawksbill turtle cross the boardwalk to lay its eggs. You could see from their tracks it was not alone. Not sure what thought went into position of boardwalk when it was built but it clearly has an impact on the turtles as do the rats eating eggs and baby turtles.

The boardwalk gives a perfect view of the sunset accompanied by the gentle sounds of surf rolling in on the white sands. It is a delight to share a good meal with friends and then take that excillerating walk along the beach. One of the real blessings in Barbados.

Lovely to walk along and stop off at the little bars and restaurants for a cool beer or food. Gorgeous in the evening to sit in the Beach bars with a nice cocktail, watching the world go around...there is a lovely Chilled vibe, people jogging, families, friends, .. all just passing the time...Watching the sun go down ... heaven ,

I enjoyed walking along the boardwalk looking out over the sea. Several restaurants, including a KFC, are beside it. Listening to the gentle waves relaxed me. Watching the big waves inspired me.

We stayed at Sugar Bay hotel so literally left along the beach you can walk right along this beautiful boardwalk which we did numerous times during our two week stay. Hastings farmers market off the boardwalk is worth a visit aswell (Wed, Sat, Sun).
This is a beautiful walk with stunning views and some great bars and restaurants too.

Our hotel was about 200 metres from the start (end?) of the boardwalk and was an ideal pre-breakfast stroll. To complete the entire walk (to the other end and back) took 30 minutes. There were excellent views and was extremely safe.

Love love love it, I hope they eventually extend it farther. Problem with the beaches in Barbados is they keep getting cut off by "private" properties that don't let you walk through; this is just wrong..... worth going out of your way to this boardwalk
