My husband -non English speaker, and I went to visit Cueva de Dragut last summer. Overal, the guide provided a good tour of the cave. The only problem, I had to do the English translation myself as they only spoke Spanish. The visit is interesting if you wish to learn about pirates and the history of Cullera and isla de... More

I found a great picture of this on the internet and i wanted to visit it. We went with the small trein cost €7 this includes entrance to the cave. The ride to the cave is nice you will see parts of the town you would not see walking. The cave is very boring you have to stay with the... More

Unfortunately, were in and out of the cave in 2 minutes. Our daughters were completely freaked out by the torture chamber and accompanying sound effects. We didn't get to view the entire cave and I think it would have been interesting. A minus was the fact that the guide only spoke Spanish and would not let us walk at our... More

The pirate to the dreaded pirate Dragut and his peers is a must see for any fan of old skool pirates and for the kids. The cave is huge, with lots of stuff from that swashbuckling era. At the bottom cave a model of the ship Dragut used to enter and claim Cullera has been installed. The kids loved it.

There are only a couple local things worth seeing in Cullera outside of the beach so we took the kids here one afternoon to get out of the sun. We weren't expecting much but ended up having a nice time. There's a cafe with good food, coffee and drinks...the cave is filled with history and artifacts, and the 30 minute... More

Dragut was a famous Muslim pirate in the 16th century who attacked Cullera in 1550 and used this cave. Dragut was a protégé of Barbarossa and he died in 1565 during his attack of Malta. The cave is now a museum that is about pirates. There is a display of weapons used in fighting from that time. There is a... More
