Disappointing, as we had been told that these were excellent and went after we had visited Krka (which I have also reviewed here). Waste of time really, as not as good as Krka and can only see one fall from a distance. At least not...More

We drove here having visited Skradinski buk earlier in the day. It was getting late when we arrived and we spoke to someone in the cash desk to ask directions. They told us that the cave would be closing in 45mins and it would take...More

We arrived to Krka National Park early in the morning and did Skradinski buk before mad crowd of tourists arrived. Afterwards we took our car and drove to Roski Slap (about 30 mins drive). This is much quieter part. We didn’t need to buy another...More

We came from the North (Plitvic Lakes) when we visited Krka National Park, and these falls were the first ones we came upon. Entree fee was quite high and falls weren’t so special. Would definately recommend skipping these and heading for the beautiful Skradinski Buk...More

So if the Skradinki Buk is the Disneyland side of Krka NP, Roski Slap is the quiet family side of it. Take a day to slow down and visit Visovac and Roski Slap, with the boat, car of even bike (just be prepared for the...More

We did the walk around the "necklaces" first and found it lovely. Lots of birds, dragonflies, lizards... Really worth it. But when we got to the actual main waterfall we were a bit disappointed. First of all you can only see it from quite a...More

This is another wonder of the Krka National Park. There are some great hikes - up to a cave - up to a lookout. There are a couple of places to eat and have a dip in the clear fresh lake water at the bottom...More

The fall by itself is not spectacular, but the short hike around the necklaces above it and the climb to the cave (519 steps) offer magnificent views of the river and surrounding. Good restaurant in the middle of the bridge, in the shade by the...More

We chose to go to Roski Slap by car. It was clever decision. The weather was too hot. We did not want spending several hours on boats with temperature over 30C. It is nice to see. Definitely you should see the restaurant on the water...More

Just once, it is the same ticket valid across the park. They will ask you to show your ticket though, make sure you will keep it the whole time with you. It is a good way to do it as it leaves you more time for hikes at... More

Round trip - skradinski buk, Stinice, roski slap (3 Replies)
Hi all I'm attempting to refine my previous post into something more accessible... We would like to do a round trip between skradinski buk and roski slap (so we can park the car, visit both and return to our parking place). However, we would like the option to spend longer at roski slap than the round boat trip allows. Does anyone know if it's possible to get one boat to roski slap and a late boat back? Separately, we are keen to do the walk between roski slap and Stinice. I have...More

krka with kids - any tips (2 Replies)
We are coming to Krka in a few weeks with our kids who are 12 and 10... We are going to drive there and probably to a DIY affair... I'm just wondering if anyone has done this with kids around our age and can give any tips so the kids can enjoy the park and lessen any moaning that might happen in terms of 'I've walked too far', 'my legs are tired' etc... They will probably be more happy at swimming in the falls than walking too far (but of course we will walk)... Should we do Visovac and/or...More

It cannot be all about kids and iff you have all day, do Visovac/Roski Slap tour. It takes 4 hours in total. At Roski Slap I suggest to have a bite to eat of local produce, including Prosciutto, Speck, Cheese, wine. The setting is just beautiful. There are streams all around. You will still have enough time for a swim and see the main attractions around Skradinski Buk. If you don't do Visovac/Roski Slap, the rest will only take less than 2 hours, excluding swimming.

Taxi roski slap / Stinice? (0 Replies)
Hi all Apologies if this is a slightly dim question... I just wondered if anyone knows whether it is practical to get a taxi between roski slap and Stinice (in either direction), or an uber perhaps? We would like to take the hiking trail between the two but, in the interests of time, would prefer not to then have to backtrack the full distance back to our car. We'd also prefer to be able to book it when we're ready / a short time in advance rather than pre-booking for a fixed time (we'd...More
