I rented an e-bike on October 4 2023 and had possibly the best day of my 2 week trip that took me from Amsterdam to Lucerne. I rode all over the German countryside. Up hills, through valleys and small towns. I saw fields, wild life, forests and vineyards. It was truly amazing. I had so much fun and there is no tour on earth that could have provided these experiences for me. The rental process was smooth and quick. I paid 45 Euro to have the bike all day. Paid with apple pay on my watch, and off I went. There are wineries and biergartens all over the place if you want to stop in. I finished the day at a small biergarten in Burkheim before heading back. After riding back, I dropped the bike off. Everything was easy about the process. I had a wonderful time. I can't recommend this enough. Enjoy!

Probably the most memorable and enjoyable thing we did on our Viking cruise. The Viking-provided trip into the Black forest was forgettable and seemed like a tourist trap. But when we got back and got our bikes from Sid, well, we had a blast. The bikes were in excellent condition and easy to ride. He adjusted them to us individually and gave us instructions on how they worked. He also gave us a map and highlighted a good route for us to take. We followed it for a while, and then went out on our own. It was amazing, we visited several small villages with quaint pubs, went on trails through vineyards, rode to the top of an overlook of the valley, followed the river, and saw countryside you would never see as a tour group. Even though we lost our location on the map a few times, we could always see our ultimate destination marked by the cathedral in town. It was the highlight of the trip. A memory we have discussed many times. Well worth the effort.

We found this ebike rental shop and reserved 5 bikes for a stop in Breisach during a Viking Cruise. The ship excursion was a full 8 hour and we were looking for something a little more chill. Communication with Sid was OK- he doesn't have an online portal for reservations and emails were not the best, but in the end someone was in the shop and let us take 5 bikes out for a lovely ride along the Rhine to a nearby village where we stopped for refreshments before turning back. For a cost of 35 euro/day, it was a great break from the ho-hum of ship tours. The bikes were well powered and easy to use.

No need to worry - Sid will put you at ease once you meet him. We were two couples who bike but had limited e-bike experience. We were given a short tutorial and put at ease. Maps and ride options were provided and clear. Great recommendations on places to stop, eat and have a local wine or beer. We saw the most beautiful scenery of our stay up close - wineries, poppies, horse farm, swans, beautiful gardens. Stopped along the way for lunch at one spot recommended for an amazing lunch and great beer!

Sid is amazing! Just went today and had Sid take 6 of us around the area it was less then 1/2 the price of the Viking Tour and 10x more fun. I can not recommend Sid enough. Seriously, the best day of our entire trip. Tour with a local, feel like a local and get away from the typical tourist traps.

What a wonderful experience! We had signed up for the Black Forest Tour with Viking. BUT...my wife was not feeling well so we looked for other options. We found Fahrradverleih Breisach on google. What an amazing find. Sid was so welcoming and friendly as we tried to decide what to do. We opted for a light day and went to many of the spots he suggested on our Ebikes. The Ebikes were amazing! Sid was amazing! If you are in the area, go see Sid!

We have been many times to the Black Forest area, but this is the first time we have cycled. It turned out to be one of the best days we have ever had. Sid is so friendly and approachable, and great in explaining directions and how all bikes work. Initially I was a bit skeptical how far we would manage in a day but the e-bikes made covering a large distance so easy. Even getting up to the summits in the Kaiserstuhl are was effortless. There is a fantastic sense of freedom once you are out into the countryside or cycling up the mighty Rhine - give it a GO it is seriously be one of the most fun days out you can have for €45. We Can’t wait to return to discover more of the fantastic trails in the area.
