My boyfriend and I did the Classic kayaking tour and we were the only people booked on for our time slot, which meant we had a private tour! We were extremely lucky and picked the perfect day to go - it was sunny and the water was calm. We saw some jellyfish and a couple of seals. Our guide was friendly, patient and knowledgeable which made the tour so much more enjoyable! I was a bit nervous about the bit where you walk into the water and float.... but the dry suit keeps you dry and warm. Although you do need to use your handles to paddle back and the water is COLD!!! When we got back to base we were given a cup of hot chocolate to warm up which was a nice touch!
Overall a very enjoyable tour and I would highly recommend this :)

Had a great time on this kayaking adventure. The owner, who is a local resident and a fisherman by trade, has a lot of experience on the water. The scenery is breathtaking, and it's great exercise. The trip includes dry suits which were really nice and definitely kept you dry, even when you get to float on the water with them half way through the trip. Be mindful of the weather. We had some headwinds coming back which made for some heavy lifting but made the hot chocolate at the end of the trip even more delicious. Now go enjoy!

Had an amazing trip today with the guys from Vestur Adventures.They could not have been nicer. The kayak was easy to handle and the whole experience was incredibly relaxing. No extra kit needed - they provide everything. Very friendly seal was on hand, great to see such a lovely creature close up. The sun shone and the scenery was spectacular. Really loved floating in the sea at the end, lovely sensation and completely protected by all the gear. Highly recommend this, a really memorable experience. Also thanks to youngest member of their team for the coffee and hot chocolate afterwards.

Just completed this 10am kayaking tour. Only 4 of us so its almost like a private tour. What a great experience. My 2 kids had a great time too. Slightly tiring but the view is breathtaking. We kayaked towards the kirkjufell mountain (GoT arrowhead mountain) and 2 hours went by real quickly. So if you happen to be in the area, give them a try. Great hosts too. They gave us hot chocolate and donuts at the end of the trip.

Loved this experience and would do it again anytime! I reccomend it to everyone :) watching the sunset while being in boat was just beatiful. We also had fantastic guides Tino and Lea who made this adventure unforgettable. Special thanks to both of them for being so nice and patient and spreading so much fun :)

I highly recommend this kayaking adventure! Tino and Leia were wonderful guides, and we saw quite a few puffins as well as a seal that watched us with great interest and came close to the kayaks. Tino and Leia took great care of everybody and made it a very special outing. And, yes, Leia, it WAS a dream come true to kayak alongside a beautiful woman! :)

Hands down the best way to experience the mountain. Our guide Tino was incredible. He was very friendly and had a lot of knowledge. He made sure that we got the best photos and I really got to enjoy the experience. He pointed out the seaweed truffle that he found, as well as a puffin sitting on the water getting ready to dive for fish. I would highly recommend!!

Our Guide, the owner, was informative, charming and fun! Best kayaking ever in Iceland! Also recommended an awesome hike with amazing waterfall views and no other people. Up close and personal with the seals, we were close enough to hear them breathing!!! Couldn’t have picked a better way to spend the afternoon in Grundarfjordur and see Mt. Kirkjufell.

Garter was an awesome guide on our kayak trip. Take the couple of hours to relax and paddle around the bay, it was definitely worth it. Now I can say I swam (floated) in the arctic!
