The parking lot is right on Route 54 just west of Grundarfjörður. Beautiful multi-tiered waterfalls and there are islands of rocks in the river that you can walk on. The path leads up one side of the falls, over a bridge, and down the other...More

This is a nice small waterfall the is right next to the famous Kirkjufells mountain. I like the view down the waterfall to the ocean. You can of course take a great photo of both the waterfall and the mountain. Must visit if you visit...More

I expected more amazing waterfall as I saw in some photos. The waterfall was low and there was a small bridge above it that in my opinion was very disturb the natural of the waterfall. If you visit this place I recommend to use waterproof...More

We drove here just to see Kirkjufell itself, the iconic mountain from GoT and the waterfall is opposite. It’s quite stunning and you can get some great photos with both falls and mountain in. In high winds the water blows back up!

The falls near Kirkjufell are very pretty. Kirkjufell in the background makes this a fantastic spot for a photo. The path to the falls was snowy and icy, making the walk a bit treacherous at times. Stop for a short visit to enjoy the views.

The waterfall was beautiful. It was underwhelming in comparison to other beautiful waterfalls in Iceland. The scenery was beautiful. Slippery to get to in the winter. Free parking and short walk.

Kirkjufellfoss is a nice, scenic waterfall but the shape and lines of Kirkjufell are spectacular from all angles. It’s a must see but I enjoyed many other scenic vistas throughout the country more. The parking lot at the falls was packed in mid-May so be...More

Not an insider tip, but very nice. Small parking place (about 15 cars) which was ful in March, so no idea how it would be in high season. Slippery & ice.

There are reasons not to go to Iceland in March - snow squalls, 70 mph winds closing the south roads, rain etc BUT when you get lucky and can see a waterfall as beautiful as this on a sunny day with “ The Game of...More

The waterfall is frozen in the winter, though our tour guide said that walking on the frozen river isn't a good idea, though lots of people were doing it. We actually saw a part of the ice that had collapsed into the river, and it...More
