We drove here just to see Kirkjufell itself, the iconic mountain from GoT and the waterfall is opposite. It’s quite stunning and you can get some great photos with both falls and mountain in.
In high winds the water blows back up!
The falls near Kirkjufell are very pretty. Kirkjufell in the background makes this a fantastic spot for a photo. The path to the falls was snowy and icy, making the walk a bit treacherous at times. Stop for a short visit to enjoy the views.
