I really loved this place! So much love and creativity from not only the owners but the community has gone into creating this unique and beautifully presented place - there is so much going on here at all hours and its beautiful to see children coming here for art classes and women making pottery
The owner Narine is just beautiful and so welcoming! You will come in with a smile and leave with a smile :)

It is an extraordinary place just as extraordinary is its founder. Grigor Machanents. An all-round artist but above all a man who at 22 opened this place and who since then continues to support disadvantaged people. Stay here at least one night contributing to its project. The photos speak for themselves. Visit his site

This place is much more than just a museum. It is a guest house, winery, education center, restaurant, NGO, art gallery, and even more. At the recommendation of our driver we stopped here for lunch. Once we learned more about the place, we also took a tour of the museum and art gallery. The two daughters were delightful and energetic hosts. When many Armenian youth are screaming to escape Armenia, it was so exceptionally refreshing to find two young people who love what they're doing and are really contributing to making Armenia a better place. We visited in the winter and they claimed to have only a limited menu, but that didn't stop them from whipping up an absolutely delicious chicken and lentil dish with cheese and lavash sides. The entire experience was awesome and unexpected. They also make their own wine -- tried some and it was delicious! They make carpets too and employ a deaf woman who has won many awards for her high-quality rugs/carpets. I highly, highly recommend you stop here and check out all the interesting things they have to offer.

This museum is fairly new so it was a little difficult to find. Upon our arrival, we stopped into the souvenir section of the location and got a little back story of what they do there (we had not made reservations for a tour and the guide was busy at the time) - this is such a neat little place to visit. It is so great what they do here and how they help the children learn different things. We walked around for an hour or so, and enjoyed lunch in the back section. The young boy who assisted us in taking and bringing our order was only 15 and part of the center there where he was learning culinary arts. He was so polite and helpful. It was just a really nice experience in general and very heartwarming to learn about what Machanents Center does to help the kids
