Near Padua and within driving distance of Venice this area has an unusual geological appearance. Set in the flat Po valley bed it is an extremely fertile land interrupted by numerous high hills. You will journey through vineyards and hilltop villages on tiny roads with plenty of cyclists. There are good restaurants arounds and quiet walks in the hills where you are likely not to see anyone else. There are also spa towns but not really many foreign tourists. An undiscovered area that you should visit.

The regional forestry service maintains an extensive network of trails that provide beauty and tranquility for the visitor who has the time to thoroughly take in the environment and all it has to offer. One sees the flora which is somewhat unique to the area. Some of the trailheads can be challenging to find, but after a satisfying nature walk, one can enjoy a glass of wine at a local Enoteca.

Excellent hills for cycling, hiking and relaxing. Some stunning scenery and CLEAN! Throughout the parc there are villages that offer places for food and refreshments.

There are a lot of small undiscovered beautiful places in the Parco regional worth of visit. So if you love nature spend even a few days in exploring everything that park offer. We did not have so much time, we have only one day unfortunately

This is a gorgeous area, full of small villages, medieval churches and a vast number of magnificent restaurants (the locals talk about how good the food is on the Colli). Loads of walking and cycling possibilities. Good to visit in the summer for some fresh air and to escape from the stifling plain below.

You cannot really do a National Park justice by a short visit and a small review. The drive into the mountains is spectacular, with winding roads and hairpin bends for an exhilarating drive. There are walks aplenty in tranquil woods with stunning scenery and views over olive groves and vineyards. There are picnic areas available on the walks we did and the walks vary in both length and difficulty. There are walks for tourists through to experienced hikers so anyone can enjoy this beautiful part of Italy.

We found this little area by chance, led there by the presence of the wonderful campsite at Montegrotto Terme. Beautiful hills, and many interesting small towns. It was too hot for us to walk when we were there, but the walks are clearly wonderful and the cycle paths many.

Este, Calaone, Valle San Giorgio , Baone e rientro a Este. Posteggio zona hotel Beatrice/castello.

Distinti saluti!
