Rock pools, caves and coves. We caught a sea hare. Mixed sand and shingle so difficult for sand castles. Some very private and beautiful spots if you go at the right time.

We have always visited in mid-season so have never had a problem at those times with overcrowding. I do prefer the main Town beach because of the more traditional feel but it's great to come and spend a few days on this sandy one -...More

Exploited beach with rows of parasols and beach chairs for rent. 35ish Euro for the day. Really crowded. Could however be nice for families with smaller children. The sand is really nice.

The crystal clear waters of the sea are refreshed and cooled with a constant stream of freshwater that pours into it. Nice organized beach with good service

This is a nice little beach in a wonderful little traditional seaside village. This was the inspiration for the classic novel, Zorba the Greek.

This is one of the best, if not the best, beaches in the area. This Messinian Mani beach is gorgeous and since it is this gorgeous it gets packed. Make sure you get there early and set up you beach attire or "hold" a sunbed...More

The slope into the water was mild which makes it great for young families or those with disabilities. Free beach chairs from October 1st. Fine sand and lounge chair service if required.

Kalogrias Beach should be one of the finest beaches in Greece, no in Europe. A horseshoe of fine sand with a gently sloping descent into the surf and the famous (infamous?) cold springs bringing you gasping towards the sun with views to the magnificent Taygetos...More
