Beautiful beach

One of our alltime favoroute beaches on the island. Great long stretch of beach, without the beachboys bothering you.

There is a local fish market on the beach, where the local fleet of dhow fisherman sell their daily catch. Kite surfing from Puloma Resort (?) . Bay has strong tide - at low tide you can walk out 200m into the bay (be careful of the sea urchins) and lie in the water on the sandbanks. The sea in... More

We stayed in a resort in Uroa Bay , was able to go for a run along the beach every day , bare foot , soft sand. The area where a few locals stay has some dirt lying around but nothing unsitely & did not make the beach dangerous to run on. You advised not to go walking by yourself... More

Have been there in nearby hotel. Beach is not very clean, as nobody takes care. Bit scared by local trying to sell tours. also local children coming in big groups and asking for chocolate do not bring good image of this place. In principle beach is very nice, just not missing basic maitenance, people leaving there in small houses dont... More

Great bay with amazing light for pictures. You dont have to be a pro to impress the friends back home. You gotta try a meal at fisherman's restaurants (seafood) on the beach. Cost around 20$ pp.

Me and my friends organised a one day trip to 3 beaches. This was one of them. It was nice but nothing special. At least that's my opinion. Paje and Kendwa are way better and beautiful.

This beach looks very great on photos. Blue sky, palm trees, sand... During low tide you can see local womens and childrens to harvest seaweed. But, if you walk to part where is local village, beach is dirty, with plastic garbage and home trash. Also, some local "salesmens" are very annoying with offers, dont let you walk with "empty mind".... More

Very nice Uroa Bay with fantastic beach. During walks at low tide you can observe local people during daily routine work, fishing as well as monitor various sea animals and of course to deal trips, activities with local beach boys, who are friendly and much milder than for example in Kenya.
