Uroa Bay is a lot quieter than the Northern beaches and perfect for unwinding and watching the locals pass by. The tides are dramatic here but not so bad that one can't swim at least a few daylight hours every day. The sunrise on this...More

Gorgeous beach, near and clean. Only thing I didn't like was the hawkers bugging us. The water is very calm in morning so before 2 is a good time to visit it. Safe for kids to play. However there are broken shells on the beach...More

was ok but could do with an overhaul. Food was good but not warm enough. Rooms are clean and spacious. See above for a more detailed review!

Very good beach and long one too, but not commercial like paje or nungwi. Had a great time, it do lacks a good quality restaurant if you are a day visitor

Its a very beautiful beach and especially during off season its quite and wonderful. A lot of nice Lodges. For me it's even better than Nungwi.

I wouldn't recommend to drive by yourself on the island, as local roads are pretty busy with motorbikes, buses and so on. As the island does not have walkways, people walk on the streets. Either you book a bus/taxi from the... More
