The Anse des Cascade is just an amazing place to visit. It is free to visit, sits right next to the N2 (Reunion Highway) and the facilities are top notch. It even has wheelchair access. So, you basically turn off of the N2, at the Anse des Cascade sign, and drive for two minutes until you reach the beach. The road to Anse des Cascade is not intimidating at all. In fact, I would say that it was the easiest attraction to reach by car out of all the attractions we visited. There you can park your car and walk to the waterfalls or rock beach if you want. There is more than enough space for anyone who wants to have a picnic or just relax in the shade. At the beach, next to the slipway, there is a small snack bar. You will also find a very modern bathroom provided at Anse des Cascade. We almost drove past and ignored this place, but we sure are glad that we decided to go and see it. Take my advice and visit Anse des Cascade!

We drove from Saint Gilles to Salazie and then decided to drive around the island. Just outside Ste Rose on east side of island we came across Anse des Cascades. Great picnic spot! We cooled down under a waterfall. I would say worth a stop. Always remember picnic basket, swimming costume and hiking boots when in Reunion. Chances are good you will do all 3 in one day in Reunion.

You don't get the opportunities to see waterfalls landing directly into the sea very often, and it's worth it. There's plenty of parking (although it may be a walk if it's busy) for very scenic views.

You are also able to stand directly under one of the bigger waterfalls if you want to, although it's not officially condoned.

This beautiful beach is just off the main road around the island. It has nice facilities, warm water, and a looming cliff on the southern end. A great place to swim or just soak in the sun.

Seeing waterfalls flowing directly into the sea is a rare sight and this was absolutely beautiful. It is certainly recommended for a stop over on your journey.

Very nice waterfalls, close to the main road. There are 3 parkings at 3 different levels, so you might need to take a short walk on a busy day, but easy to do. The vicinity of the sea and the "piton" (peak) nearby allows some very nice pictures. Refreshments available at a small bar.

Only a short visit after a day around the coast. The waterfalls are impressive though I would imagine in high season the car parks would fill easily. Nice coffee and cake at the restaurant.

The access to the waterfall was closed (as of May 2019), but the rest of the park was nice to walk through/around, and it's a good place for a picnic.

Tip: don't drive all the way down to the parking lot nearest the beach. If it gets remotely crowded, you'll sit there for a while trying to get out, as the road is only one lane down there. Better to park in one of the first lots you come to as you enter the park area and just walk a minute or two down the hill.

Easy drive and very pretty surroundings. Snack bar available or bring your own picnic. Worth a visit just to be able for a refreshing shower under a natural waterfall!
