Great place, really nice displays and very educational. There was a really good amount if information and artefacts detailingbthe history of Ashcroft but also about the way First Nations were impacted and affected by European settlers.

The Ashcroft museum gives some great incite not only into the history of Ashcroft but of the Cariboo trail and the hauling of goods to Barkerville in the days of the Gold Rush there.

On walking down the Main Street with a camera around my neck, looking like a tourist, I was advised by two locals to have a look in the museum. I wasn't disappointed. A very informative journey on how the town became established.

Found this place by accident. So glad we did. The historical artifacts and information amazed me for such a tiny town. There was a young teenaged boy hosting the day we went and I was impressed by his wealth of knowledge. Definitely worth the $5...More
