My husband and I were married on June 10th, 2006 in Chicago. We always wanted to visit Venice, so we planned to spend a week exploring the art, history, culture and romance of the city, then venture out to the islands and inland to the hillside towns. While in Venice, we fell in love with Prosecco - trust me, I had a bottle with every meal - and were very excited to find that the Prosecco region was no more than an 1.5 hours away! We are so happy we found Ca' Salina. What a different world altogether -You must visit this wonderful place! Their website does not do justice to the beauty surrounding this family-run winery. The vineyards stretch over acres of steep rolling green hills, there are lily ponds, well-kept gardens, and on top of it all, a medieval vine-covered gazebo overlooking the hills with a hand-carved table made from a single tree. It was one of the most romantic moments of our trip, being together on top of the world in the gazebo enjoying a bottle of Prosecco fresh from the winery. Bella bella bellissimo!

The wines taste fine. Valdobbiadene is beautiful. However, this "tour" (chuckle) consists of standing in one spot in one room for twenty minutes (but felt like FOREVER....zzzzzz) while the owner describes their production process using a laser pointer on a wall diagram. No cellars. No vineyards. Just a wall diagram. Skip the "tour" and simply DRINK MORE!

We drove through this very picturesque and charming and dense wine producing area, famous for its spumanti. We stopped at several wineries and many of them were bigger and corporate in nature. They did not do tastings although they do sell bottles to you. This lovely winery is different. It is run by a couple and their two sons. They will let you sample their different products and give you a tour of their modern little winery which is dug into the hillside. They are located on top of a hill - almost a cliff - betwen S. Pietro and S. Stefano - on the right if you are heading in the direction of S. Stefano. The views are magnificant. The whole area is beautiful. We didn't spend the night - there wouldn't be a great deal to do - but, looking back, I wish we would have.

This is a very lovely winery and the owner was the sweetest man!!! Made you feel like you were tasting wine with your grandfather. Free tastings and purchased 6 bottles of the Rose prosseco for 50 euro.

We had a great time tasting the Prosecco selection at Ca'Salina. The family was very friendly, even though it was a little busy, we were able to try what ever we liked. We were also able to relax sitting at the long table, and discuss the wines we were tasting. I recommend this stop on your trip to the Prosecco region.

We stopped by the place while it was a part of a little Prosecco tour we made in this region, but we seamed to be all alone. The other group members made other plans.
Still the owner explained us about his passion and let us taste his skills. Frankly, these are great Proseccos and very goor value for your money.

The sweet Moscato, also in rose variety was a discovery ... not in the least for our teenage son and daughter ;-)
The regular brut, extra dry and dry are excellent too and the rose extra dry is really worth a try!
Pass by, it's worth it ... you won't be disappointed.

À very fine winery with a good offer of different types of Prosecco. Very correct and sharp pricing. After wine tasting it's worth to make a walk in the vineyards.
