I could see the tops of the trees from the hotel restaurant but I couldn't work out how to get there; it is a convoluted route through a car park and past the local hospital but well worth the trouble. The villa and its park are owned by The University of Padova and is only open on certain days - check with your hotel (there's no Tourist Info Office in Castelfranco) or online. The people at the entrance pay desk were very friendly and helpful, but apart from a map of the grounds, there was no other information and nothing in English. However, they told me which way to go (in a clockwise direction from the entrance) and I soon came accros an amphitheatre surrounded by antique statues - in my opinion, a wonderful venue for open air theatre productions. Wandering on round, you come to a small tower, lakes, a boat house and a splendid looking orangery, some superb specimen trees (all named on the map in Italian but not too hard to work out what they are!), bridges and a cave. It is a very pleasant oasis of calm from the town and there are plenty of benches to enable you to sit and enjoy the views. A nice place to while away a couple of hours in the heat of the day and especially I should think, in the autumn - the colours of the trees should be beautiful. BTW, very good clean toilets near the villa.

Went to a wedding at Villa Revedin, what an amazing place for a wedding. Food was excellent, the park surrounding the villa was very charming, old trees, cool places, fountains, only thing lacking in charm were the rooms, they were ok but nothing special.
