A visit to this museum will take you about an hour but it will open your awareness to the history of the Veneto region and how different Europa was many years a go: the aristocratic families dynamic, the war or arrenged marriages with the goals of becoming stronger and more powerful kingdoms. As of the time where Giorgione fresco was... More

If you have made the journey to Castelfranco to see the Giorgione altarpiece in the Duomo you really also should visit this museum which is tucked away to the left of the cathedral. The artist did not live here - it's not his 'Casa' in that sense and we might as well get that out of the way immediately. It's... More

Take a half an hour to visit this little gem of a museum which justly remembers the work of Giorgione. The freschi or reliefs on the second floor are the work of Giorgione himself. Pity the museum is not very busy but it merits a visit if you are in the Veneto touring around.

If we had Giorgione's house as a museum in North America, it would be a shrine like so many places in Italy where there are gorgeous spots with so we people visiting.

This small museum is all laid out and organised to give you an idea of why Giorgione was asked to paint here. The exhibits are helpfully labeled. The main information is given in Italian and English.

This is a very very small museum, normally has only to floors open to public and sometimes they have special shows on the third floor. Lower floor shows works of Giorgione and other artist of his time, is important that you know that the masterpiece Pala di Giorgione is now located in the Duomo and a Digital interactive replica is...
