Attended the recent St Petersburg Ballet Sleeping Beauty here and have to mention how hot and uncomfortable it was during an excellent performance. The air conditioning must have not been working, pity more shows when the temperature gets hotter than in March.

If you go to Altea, be sure to visit the Old Town. Well worth the walk up there and plenty of places to eat if you so desire.

What a magnificent theatre and for such a small area. We went to a concert of flamenco jazz. Flamenco is very difficult medium to understand unless you are from the area of its origins. The jazz big band was amazing the style was very European . The whole rhythm section came from Holland. It is funny when you don't speak any Spanish and the band leader explains what they are doing and tells jokes and everybody laughs except you. t There are many different concerts at the theatre go to the information Centre for a programme . Prices very cheap and the theatre is very easy to find.…

Altea is quite a small town and you wouldn't believe it could offer such a lot of culture. But Palau Altea does. There is a lot of concerts, bouth classic and jazz, operas, ballets etc and for very reasonable prices. Try it! The location is very near the historic centre, where you can both eat well and sleep over.…
