We learned about Pope Urban ll at the local tourist information and then did the easy walk up to the statue. It is set high above the village of Chatillons-sur-Marne and the views over the champagne vineyards are delightful. Plentiful picnic tables make this a...More

An astonishing statue with a great view from the spot, but not sure there is much to see otherwise. Beautiful region overall.

The place has awesome views!! It is a great place to take a sandwich and have lunch. Just relax and love the 180 degree views.

When we saw the statue in the distance, we had to check it out. Signs mark the location so it's easy to find. Andre Perrin champagne is also located in the heart of this small town.

We stumbled across this on our drive back from Reims. Very interesting and majestic as you drive through the country. You have to walk to reach the statue but a great little gem off the beaten path.
