A few days ago we had the opportunity to visit this beautiful country, known as the pearl of the Indian Ocean.
We were preparing the trip with enthusiasm. We were lucky to have the help of Sajith from the beginning, who with total flexibility, adapted the itinerary to the activities and visits we wanted to do.
From the moment we arrived, they offered us personalized attention (Sajith guide and Nuam driver), which made us feel very comfortable. They had everything super organized, which allowed us to tour the island without worrying about anything, just enjoying ourselves.
Sajith helped us learn about his history, his culture, his religions, his people, his traditions...There is no doubting his passion, knowledge and skills as a tour guide, which made our experience sensational.
We traveled within the island in a van (always impeccable and with air conditioning) that became an oasis to combat the high temperatures to which we were not accustomed. It was driven by Nuam, an expert driver, in whom we fully trusted.
Stutti Sajith, Stutti Nuam. We hope to meet again on future trips.

All the team of the agency was incredible. Our guide Jana was always so comprensible, Patient and ready for give the best for our experience. All the places we went were amazing. I'm still surprised for the price we paid and the places we visited, including the hotels we stayed, all was amazing.
We visited a Safari with wonderful views of elephants in their hábitat, the lions rock, the tooth relic temple, we visited a tea factory, the amazing train from nuwara Elijah to Ella city, we saw whales, Gale fort and more amazing places with the company of this amazing guide that provided us with very useful information about the places, advised us on prices, were to eat, what to do.
(Note: cannot miss the cooking lesson in Ella, they teach you how to do your own curry, the best cooking experience I had and one of the most delicious meals over the travel)
You really can notice that walk Lanka team it's committed and love what they do. It was the best decision ever
Sri Lanka is one of those places I would recommend to go with a guide for different reasons, but in general is because of 1) the contacts they have (with all the operators in the zone, so many people didn't knew they could do all the activities offered by the Walk Lanka guys). 2) the transportation, the country can be crossed very easily by car but the roads are tight, besides of the fact they drive in the right side; renting a car can be more expensive. 3) for the price paid, having a guide with you totally worth it, he's always thinking in the schedules, he was two steps ahead of our necessities and knew how to move and speak with everybody.

My self and my wife Vasudhs we were thinking of visiting Sri Lanka for past many years. This June I saw advertisement on Facebook by Walk Lanka holidays. I sent response about my intrest and Sanjeewa was lightning quick to respond within few minutes.
Sanjeewa is very knowledgeable about his country and he was very helpful in planning my itinerary with all my and my wife Vasudha's special needs. Though we had five and half hours time difference he was always there to answer my questions. After continuing talks for nearly month he created itinerary for our ten nights eleven days dream holiday . Before I arrived in Sri Lanka, clear estimate was given for all the charges I needed to pay for things not included in the package so there were no surprises or hidden costs.
On arriving in Sri Lanka they picked us from airport. Sanjeewa and his team along with wonderful Driver / guide Mahesh they did do everything humanly possible to make our trip memorable.
Car chosen, Toyota Camry was clean and comfortable with plenty of boot space.
I was mainly intrested in bird watching and wild animals safaries. Location chosen for those were excellent and local naturalist Amal was too knowledgeable and helpful.
All the hotels chosen were best in the region. Food was delicious at all the venues.
I would love to take this opportunity to thank Sanjeewa and Mahesh for everything they did to make our dream come true.
Through out the trip Sanjeewa was continuously in touch with me was calling me three times a day to make sure everything is fine with me and Vasudha.
Thanks Sanjeewa for wonderful gift , this book did help me identify Sri lankan birds, it has Excelled my intrest in Sri lanjsn birds and I will love to revisit historic Sri Lanka in near future.

Wow! What a paradise island… a hidden gem to the European traveller. Walk Lanka Holidays proved to be well organised and very approachable; our personal guide - Mahesh - was totally reliable, friendly and informative, and clearly knows his way around the island.
From the majestic high mountains around Ella (and amazing lightning display) to the rice fields and salt marshes of the low lands to the most incredibly evocative beaches (with stilt fishermen) - interspaced with the normal daily life of the local people, Sri Lanka really is going to be the “go to” destination… I couldn’t recommend Sri Lanka and Walk Lanka Holidays enough.

A different way of traveling, avoiding the big tourist hotels and enjoying charming hotels.
With this agency we were able to adapt the itinerary to our interests, which allowed us to fully enjoy the trip and get closer to the local way of life and brought us closer to the different cultures that coexist in Sri Lanka.
Traveling with a guide in Spanish was an excellent experience since we were able to visit more places and with great comfort.
Nuan is an excellent driver in a country that is a traffic chaos! Very attentive to us and made us feel very safe! Thanks Nuan!
Sajith is a great guide, he speaks Spanish very well and knows his country very well. With him we understood and learned a lot about Tamils and Sinhalese!

Walk Lanka has been great! I learnt about the company through Facebook. I contacted them and Sanjeewa, the owner, was incredibly accommodating to all my requests and questions. He arranged our entire holiday and reassured me that they would do their absolute best to be able to have a great experience. He kept in touch throughout the lead up to the trip and during the trip too and ensured we were happy all along. Our driver, Mahesh was an absolute star. Nothing was ever a problem and he went out of his way to ensure we saw as many things as possible. He would point at animals as we were driving, he would stop on iconic places to ensure we got beautiful pics and he even edited some of our pictures to ensure they looked amazing. I cannot recommend them enough. If you are looking to come to Sri Lanka and you are unsure which agency to use, Walk Lanka is the answer. Thank you Walk Lanka!!

What an amazing experience! Sri Lanka is an island paradise and Walk Lanka packed so much into the week! Loved how Sanjeewa was flexible to our comments, making sure we enjoyed the experience. Shanaka was an incredible driver getting us to numerous places safely and showing us the sights. Recommendation to others is to stay in the boutique hotels throughout as they add enormously to the experience.

Everything has been wonderful, since I contacted Sanjeewa everything was very easy, he was always flexible and gave me excellent recommendations on the best route and places to visit. It is very important to mention that I requested a Spanish-speaking guide.
Already on the trip, the assigned driver was very polite and friendly, and he was also very well prepared with the history of each place. In addition to being a good driver, he was a kind companion, all the time he was concerned about my well-being in terms of meal and rest times.
Likewise, Sanjeewa followed up on my route every day and that it was carried out according to the itinerary. Sie.ore was attentive about what activities to do, food, etc.
Sri Lanka is unique, it is a beautiful and generous land, it has everything... rivers, beaches, forest, jungle, cities, history, good food and good atmosphere. All Sri Lankan service people in restaurants, shops, etc., are very friendly and honest. The city has exceptional order and cleanliness, it is also a very spiritual country, with beautiful green landscapes, many beautiful temples, crystal clear waters and deep blue skies.
As a woman, a solo traveler, safety is very important to me, I am very grateful because being in a country alone with a different language, I felt safe, cared for and accompanied all the time.
I advise you to spend good time in Ella, Galle and Mirissa are beautiful cities, with good food, places to socialize and beautiful views; They are also places where you will find good souvenirs at a very good price.
Of course I highly recommend Walk Lanka Holidays, I am convinced that whatever country you are from they will always welcome you and make you feel at home.

My partner and I have been on vacation for 7 days in Sri Lanka, and we have been very lucky to have our guide Sajith Munasinghe.
From the first moment we arrived, Sajith was waiting for us at the airport with a smile on his face and some local flower leis to welcome us.
We knew that we had just enough days to visit an island as large as Sri Lanka, but Sajith knew how to adapt perfectly to our needs and offer us a super complete tour, which left us amazed.
Sajith is an attentive, funny, kind person and above all enthusiastic about his work. Many times when you visit a new country, the memory you take with you is directly proportional to the quality of the guide. Therefore, we are very sure that both María and I will return. We have already agreed with Sajith on a new trip to Sri Lanka for our Honeymoon in a few years... 😉

12 days Sri Lanka… Absolutely wonderful trip!
Absolutely wonderful trip! Our guide son was amazing, good english and extensive knowledge on history, flora and fauna, knew exactly where to take us and took such good care of our family. All hotel and lunch place arranged of excellent standard. We felt very safe everywhere we went,the Sri Lankans are such beautiful and gracious people..Walk Lanka was a very special and magical journey. Highly recommend.
