Minneriya safari tours is a jeep safari tour agent for minneriya national park, kaudulla national park and hurulu eco park-habarana for watch great elephant gathering. Safari start at morning 6 am and evening 3pm everyday. Also operates half day & full day Safari. We arrange hotel pickup service from habarana, polonnaruwa, sigiriya, dambulla, anuradhapura, kandalama, pasikudah & trincomalee areas.

we booked a tour to see the elephants. I wrote on WhatsApp to ask for information and they responded immediately. we arranged and then the booking was made via the website where all the prices are well written. our driver was on time at the meeting place, accompanied us around the park and showed us the elephants without absolutely trying to sell us other services (as EVERYONE else does). they also accepted a change that I specifically requested. highly recommended for those who want seriousness and quiet days in this beautiful country

We had a great day, birdwatching and elephant spotting with Nadeesh our driver who arrived at our hotel exactly at the appointed time.
On arrival at Minneriya National Park we collected our birding guide which was a relief as our driver didn’t know much about birds. The guide was excellent and we saw many more birds than expected.
The evening visit to see the elephant herds was at Hurulu Eco Park, as the elephants had moved from other parks. It was a relief that the driver knew of the herd movements and could adjust the schedule to accomodate them.
Only critics was the lunchtime village tour was not explained and we were not prepared for the walk and lunch at a typical farm house. Once we realised what was happening it was a great experience.

Good communication when safari was being booked. Advised of options regarding which park had the most elephants. Driver turned up on time and was exceptional in making sure we didn’t travel with everyone else so when we were watching the elephants we were by our selves

I really enjoyed the safari. It is quite expensive for one person (95 dollars), but I feel it was worth it. The driver came to pick me up 20 minutes early, but it was no problem for him to wait a few minutes, because I wasn't ready yet.
The driver eventually got the tickets for the park and a ranger from the park hopped in from there. He had a lot of experience and knowledge and even though his English wasn't perfect, he told a lot of interesting things.

We had a wonderful experience during our safari. The booking process was really easy, we booked the day before. Our driver Vihansa was very knowledgeable and told us all sorts of facts about the animals we saw. We saw lots of elephants, water buffalo, monkeys and loads of birds. I would definitely recommend them the company, the driving was really respectful towards the animals.

The company were able go recommend the best place to see elephants for the time of year and we had an amazing experience at Hurulu Eco Park. We saw 20+ elephants, peacocks, an eagle and foxes. Quick response via Whatsap and easy booking process with good value for money. Driver was polite, knowledgable and unobtrusive and respectful of the animals and us.

We had special requests for the pick up and drop off and the communication with the operator via WhatsApp has been quick, smooth and helpful. The driver picked us up on time and, apart from the long waiting time for retrieving the entrance tickets (due to the park administration), we also started on time. During the whole trip the driver has been very caring for our well being and also very able to drive trough the park. We appreciated a lot that he didn't chase aggressively the elephants like other jeeps were doing.
Unfortunately due to the recent raining, not many elephants showed up, but we were able to see about 20 beautiful ones. We've also spotted other wild animals living in the park and anyways, the park's scenery is already worth a Safari by itself. Marvelous!!

We booked the day before as a bit of a spur of the moment thing. Booking was easy. We booked the evening safari and so contacted them in the morning to confirm our pick up details. They informed us that the elephants had migrated to an adjacent area which was further away and asked if we would like to move our safari to this park instead as we may only see a handful of elephants in the park that we originally booked. There was a small additional fee ($6) as it was further away and we had selected to be collected from our hotel. We happily accepted and what a great decision that turned out to be! We counted over 120 elephants.
Rohan (hopefully this is how you spell it) was our guide and driver and he was amazing. He was very friendly and informative. We felt like everything was catered around us and we never felt rushed. We even had a little adventure helping out another tour who got stuck in the mud and Rohan helped to pull them out.
All around amazing experience and cannot recommend it enough.

We booked the minneriya half day safari in advance but the day before they contacted us to change to kaudulla safari because elephants moved there.
And we really thank them for the suggestion because we were able to see many elephants. In kaudulla we saw also many buffaloes and birds.
Jeep was ok and driver very friendly. He stopped as much as we wanted to see animals and take photos.
Great experience.
One suggestion is to not book in advance as there are many drivers and jeeps so you can do the day before and also animals move from one park to the other.
And we really thank them for the suggestion because we were able to see many elephants. In kaudulla we saw also many buffaloes and birds.

Had an amazing safari and saw plenty of elephants. We decided to switch from Minneriya to Kaudulla national park the day before our trip as recommended by the team as there were more elephants to see and we managed to see probably 70ish elephants amongst other animals. Our driver Rasika was fantastic and attentive and kept getting us in great spots and took his time. Would highly recommend. Thanks!
