I had an absolutely amazing day with Linden and his team at Toro Trail. The bikes are great as well as all the provided gear. Linden was a proper gent and his guiding skills made my day out a real challenge but a great balance of technical riding and great views that suited me perfectly!! I would certainly recommend Toro Trail for all bikers and I am sure to return one day - next time with a group of friends!!

I spend 3 days trail riding with Torotrail in late August (as a first time enduro rider) and had a great experience. Everything is very well organised and catered towards customer needs, with a lot of attention to the details. Very welcoming atmosphere. The base is a villa with swimming pool at a superb location and the bikes and gear are of high quality. Everything looks well maintained. The area is perfect for enduro riding, with a large variety of tracks, riverbeds and some hill climbs. Beautiful nature with a lot of nice views. Also liked the choice of restaurants, both for the lunches and dinner. At night, the host always join the guests for dinner in one of the excellent restaurants in Alhaurin el Grande.Perfect combination of adventure and relaxation, very much recommended.

Background - I have over 30 years of road riding experience and recently bought a Yamaha 700 Tenere adventure bike with a view to try something different and wanted to ride off road trails. I and needed some exposure to off road riding and to learn some necessary off road skills. So on a tip from my local dealer Alan Duffus Kirkcaldy (thank you) , I signed up with Toro Trail and went on an off road trail riding course in Spain. I spent 3 days riding on mud, rocks, river beds and forest tracks, all under the watchful guidance of Lindon (the owner) and his experience guides, David and Angelo and not to mention the guys that made up the A and B teams. I rode with two separate groups, I will call the the A team and the B team. The A (advanced) experienced riders from Devon + Nine from Scotland and the B team, Si and Mick with similar abilities to myself. Lindon, our host and charismatic owner of Toro Trail, put me and the B team through the basics. How to stand on the pegs, how to lean into corners, what speed what body position to shift into when climbing or riding rough terrain, about weight transfer, arms position shoulders and then we were taken down some simple forest trails building to more complex trails in day 2 and 3. Off road riding requires different body position and feel from road riding with the bike moving about underneath you much more than road riding with traction lost all the time. Totally different from riding on the road. After 2 days of riding mostly with the B team who had to return end of day 2 as per their booking, Lindon felt is was ok to join the A team for most of the day 3. A real adventure. and I learned a stack on the Husqvana 250, especially riding day 3. The Husqvana 250 does not sound much of a bike from road riding perspective. Most of my road riding has been on 1000 cc bikes, with capacity and power much larger than the Husqvana but trust me, the Husqvarna 250 has plenty of power, speed and performance for off road. It is an amazing bike. During the trip weather was unusual for Spain with two days of thunder and lighting and heavy rain near Malaga. The storms made for mud, water, exposed rocks and washed out rutted trails. The normally dry river beds were lively with flowing water and slippery rocks. Meals in the day were included as part of the package and were of a high standard based in local restraints and cafes on route chosen by Toro Trail. Evening meals were organised in lthe ocal town based on Lindon's knowledge, with plenty of chat and good company. 50% of this holiday was the social aspect, local food and chat with the guys, a great set up. The trip ticked all the boxes for me. The Toro Trail setup works very well with all the off road gear, boots, armour, gloves helmet plenty of sizes and the Husqvana bikes, with skilled guides and expertise, all provided to a very high standard. I learned a tonne. Highly recommended.
