Our family of four (including two kids, ages 10 and 7) agreed that the Life Italian Style cooking class was a highlight of our Italian vacation! The dishes we prepared under Jennifer's patient instruction reflected the Umbria region and were delicious. Our son and daughter delighted in stuffing squash blossoms and making gnocchi. The cherry ricotta tart was a favorite.... More

We were traveling as an extended family group (staying in the lovely Chiesa del Carmine in La Bruna), ages 9yo to 73yo, and we really wanted to immerse ourselves in the food of Umbria. Several of us in the group are foodies of various sorts, and digging into truly local cuisine is something we all enjoy. Jennifer came recommended to... More

Four of us signed up for the horseback riding, winery tour/tasting, and lunch with Jennifer. It was a perfect day. The weather was great and the views of the vineyards and Umbrian countryside were great. Jennifer contracts with a nearby farm for the horseback rides. The owners don't speak much English, but Jennifer translates. You can ride even if you've... More

My family and I booked a Farm to Table tour with Jennifer. It was our most enjoyable part of our time in Umbria (and we really liked Umbria). Seeing the source of a typical Umbrian meal (lunch in our case) and then getting to enjoy actually learning to cook part of the meal was really amazing. The bakery and farm... More

We had the good fortune of spending two days with Jenniifer on different tours during our visit. Umbria is a goldmine as far as food and wine experiences (history also, but that was not our focus) go, but not being able to understand your hosts limits your enjoyment of the experience. We were able to fully enjoy what Umbria has... More

Jennifer led us on a great day getting to know the food and wine of Umbria. She partners with knowledgable and interesting people who explain their areas of expertise and share the bounty of the area. Jennifer also knows a lot about the history of Umbrian food, local restaurants and producers, and life in Italy. We thoroughly enjoyed our day.

This was our second tour with Jennifer. Previously, we had been in Umbria during truffle season, gone on a truffle hunt with a local farmer, and really enjoyed it. This time we decided to do the nature walk in the Valnerina. What fun! We took a stroll down a country road where we discovered numerous herbs and plants that grow... More

We had a wonderful day with Jennifer, essentially doing 2 different tours, Nature Abounds and a winery tour with tasting in one day. Loved them both. Jennifer was great to work with, we signed up rather late, and she was able to include us (2 people) in a larger group. The group was fun, and Jenifer was great. Weather threatened... More

We did the shopping tour with Jennifer but the real highlight was her knowledge of everything about the area--food, history, architecture, current events. Visiting the small towns wouldn't have been nearly as interesting without her. But the best was the lunch we had together at a restaurant owned by some of her many friends from the restaurant business. We were... More
