Just got back from a week in County Clare where my son and his dad surfed at Spanish Point. They had a great lesson with Pat, hired their kit from him each day and had a brilliant time. Pat is a total star, if you're heading over that way to learn to surf don't go to anyone else!

This was a real highlight of a reset trip to Ireland. Pat the owner is a real West Clare surf dude and he is as laid-back as they come. My kids were standing on the board by the second or third wave I think. Amazing value, stunning location. Great example of the best things about Ireland.

One of my best experience ever! We had never tried surfing before, but Pat was an incredible instructor and made us feel very safe in the water. Everybody should have a surf lesson or two with Pat.

We're a language school based in Dublin and Clare and during the summer we bring teenage foreign students on outdoor activities as part of their entertainment and after-school programme. This summer and last summer we brought several groups of 20-35 students here to learn surfing in the afternoons. Pat, the instructor, and his staff are excellent - they give the students whatever instruction they need and then let them get on with having fun while keeping a watchful eye. All equipment was supplied. The waves when we were there were gentle and ideal for beginners. These guys are great to work with .. helpful, easy-going, and professional .. made for some very relaxing and fun afternoons. Well done Pat and staff!

Pat came recommended from a friend in Miltown and over the course of 3 weeks, our 3 kids (ages 14, 11 and 6) attended Pat's school almost every weekday and had a brilliant time. Pat is coolness personified and he gets a great response from all the kids. Our 6 year old daughter was thrilled to be taught by one of Pat's protege's, Aédín, who was spending the summer in Spanish Point. We would recommend Pat to anyone wanting to get to grips with surfing and enjoy the fantastic waves at Spanish Point.
