My husband, two young children and I visited while on holiday in Austria. The pool were nice, and the children loved the lazy river. We didn't try the sauna or solarium as these seem to be adult only. All was well, and we had a lovely time, until we were leaving. When you enter, you have to chose to pay for up to 4 hours, or the whole day. We chose up to 4 hours. You are given a wristband which works the lockers and, it turns out, supposedly records the time that you enter the facilities. My son, husband and I all exited by swiping the wristband and returning it with no problems. My small daughter's wristband was rejected, and the lady on the tills insisted that she must have entered the building much earlier than us - she said the computer showed an hour earlier than the rest of the family. She refused to allow her to pass through into the foyer to join us unless I paid an additional fee. I had our receipt for the entrance tickets - we had bought a family card - which showed all four of us had arrived together - but the lady would not take that into consideration. I explained that we had travelled 1 hour by car together, arrived together, and that of course I would not allow a small child to enter a swimming pool one hour before her family - and would the pool have let her in alone anyway. But she would not relent - classic case of computer says no and she said also that the fine would be deducted from her own salary if she waived it. I asked to speak to a manager but she refused to get one. As my daughter was naturally becoming distressed, I paid the fee to release her! I hope that a manager at the facility sees this and sends an explanation of why a small child should be treated in this way. Perhaps the fine could be donated to charity as we won't be back.

We visited town for one night so said we would try the thermal spa. Would highly recommend. Lazy river is lovely. Pool warm. The adult area is naked only and consists of large salt pool, various saunas and steam rooms, whirlpool etc etc. Bring flip flops and towel or you can rent towel. Parking is free but place is walkable to from town centre. You can relax on the many loungers, read a book or just relax. The day we visited it was very busy and no loungers available but we were told this on paying. It’s €26 pp for the main area and the ‘Relaxium’ area which is the nude area. A great experience and very relaxing.

A little pricey at 18€ for 4 hours but also a lot of fun. A must do if you have the time. There is both fresh water and salt water pools. The fresh has a ring you take all around outside. The salt has several pools great for teaching kids to swim. You can sit back and relax with a good view of the mountains all around. Facilities are very nice clean everywhere. I believe you can rent everything you need also. Great family fun.

This was supposed to be the highlight of our couples trip, but the staff keeps giving us wrong information, turning us away, or hanging up on us when we call to inquire if we can visit the spa (is it full? Does that mean they will not let us in if we show up?) and make a reservation. So strange. Very disappointed.

This wasn't the largest or most extensive spa that I went to, but I really loved my time here. We went during the day in the middle of the week, so it wasn't crowded in the least.

We enjoyed the sauna zone in particular, the Salt bath (Brine Inhalation Grotto) is so dense that you can't see anything once you step in. My husband had to help out an elderly lady who couldn't figure out where the door was to leave the room. I literally could barely see my husband who was sitting right next to me while we were in there.

The brine pool in this (sauna) area was lovely; perfect temperature and nice lighting. We didn't take advantage of the infrared sauna, but had a couple of rounds in the Mine sauna (outside) where they spritzed us with a eucalyptus/menthol solution which amplified the sauna experience with heating and cooling sensations on the skin.

Our Favourite part was the Lazy river! We thoroughly enjoyed being carried by the current, playing hide and seek in the grottos enroute. We were lucky enough to have a beautiful snowy evening to make our experience even more magical.

Overall, I could feel the history in this spa, and I loved the intimate size, the lighting and the decor (the interior is lined with salt bricks so this may contribute to the calming atmosphere and overall vibe.) This would be a great "starter spa" for anyone wanting to venture into the Austrian Therme and Spa culture. I can't wait to go back to this spa and explore the town.

This is an overcrowded and overpriced spa. By lunch time you could get in any of the salt pools or jacuzzis.
There is an additional fee to access the saunas as well as the pools and be warned these are nude- would have been helpful to have been told that before we wasted our money.
After less than 3 hours we were bored so at 25 euros entrance fee it is expensive for a few hours entertainment.
My advice would be to spend your money on something else!

A great way to spend a few hours relaxing.

We first purchased a regular ticket and were disappointed; the main area was a zoo of people and their children. It was hard to get into or out of the pools, the water was luke warm at best and it was not relaxing - the Lazy River was fun ... then we discovered the "relaxerium"

First; this area is for men and women and is naked. The staff helping us access were very clear that no one wears cloths in this area.

The "relaxarium" was a welcome change of pace from the main part and was full of different sauna's, steam rooms, pools, jacuzzi's, and relaxing areas. One of the best parts was that at 45minutes past the hour, every hour, there is a 30 minute session in the steam building outside, this usually consists of 20 minutes in a sauna followed by stepping outside with a ritual (sometimes salt, sometimes a menthol spritz, or punch) and then an additional 5-10 minutes in the sauna with essential oils and Aufgas. This is amazing. We stumbled upon it as they are not well signed, and proceeded to spend all out time there.

Loved this place and actually went twice. Totally worth it - and when you consider what other spa/resorts charge, this is reasonable.

I went here with my boyfriend in the evening and paid the 4 hours which kept just before closing time which was ideal, the place was near on completely empty so we practically had it to ourselves! They give you a bracket as you come in which scans for your locker but isn’t massive or weighted in any way so you forget it’s on tbh. The lazy river is definitely the highlight there is a tunnel you go through surrounded by like semi precious stone tiles which has a secret jacuzzi area and then follows through to an area which has millions of hollow tubes that has water trickling through, really lovely and relaxing. There is a main pool and with a jacuzzi segment inside but the other pool was shut for renovation which they may have completed now. Very cheap for the experience!

We like Spas in Austria a lot (the more exp. Sauna areas in particular) and are a little picky, so actually we did not want to go to the small location on a rainy Sunday but we gave it a shot and - we were positively surprised!

Nicely decorated and arranged Saunas - several different types - from 40-90 degrees 100% salty humidity to dry air - a great variety for this small area

Only average though because only one outside sauna and hardly windows in the inside facilities - no cold outside pool (only a two square meters plunge pool) no outside warm pool (in the Sauna area!)

Actually the Spring pools were nice and rest areas even with many families and kids calmer and Mir quiet than the Sauna - after 6 pm (dinner time at most hotels) it was really great!

Bring you own towels 6.- per piece and 8.- for a bathrobe is a little pricy when you just stay for some hours (even though normal for Austrian thermal spas)

We enjoyed it, will not come to Ischl just because of the hot pools (like Loupersdorf, stegersbach, blumau,...) but will defiantly use the facility again in a rainy day, when around in the region...

The spa is located in the centre of the town near the main railway station. You do not have to be worry about parking, as you can leave you car for free in the underground parkingplace. It is suitable for all ages, there is even possibility to take a baby-carriage with you inside. There are some outdoor and indoor pools both fresh and salty water. You have to try the Lazy river! and do not forget your books or magazines for reading. In case you are hungry, there is a restaurant available.
