Great staff and wonderful scenery

What a view! Simply stunning. Whilst exploring the island we couldn't miss this. The cafe was lovely and the staff were extremely friendly and really made us feel welcome.

We went in a big family group of various ages and it was enjoyed by all. The elderly strolled and took in the magnificent scenery. The fitter walked the coastline tops and viewed the multitude of basking seals on the rocks and doing their acrobatic swimming displays all around the Calf and in the little coves. Good parking for us... More

We visited when the weather was turning and so it became cold but thankfully no rain. Would be very pleasant on a nice sunny day. There was less car parking that l envisaged and so we had to park on the approach road. Not a problem really just info really. Saw the seals basking on the rocks of Kitterland. We... More

The view of the Calf of Man overlooking the Sound is breathtaking. The detailed descriptions on the walls inside the cafe constitute the "visitor centre", but they add to the educational aspect of a visit. Go for the beauty, not the information!

You can get to the Sound right at the south of the Isle of Man by number 28 bus from Port Erin or Port st Mary. If you look across to the Calf of Man you can usually see a colony of seals lying on the rocks and bobbing their heads in the Irish sea

I arrived in the port city and asked a local business owner how to get to the calf of man. She told me there was a nice hike over the hills by the sea that would offer impressive views. The views were amazing, but the train was very rugged and very strenuous in places. It took about 1hr and 20... More

Very nice visitor centre and cafe serving lovely local food, not a lot here but the views and they are really great views, you quite often see seals in the water or sunning themselves on the rocks.

We spent a couple of hours here when it wasn't too busy. The views are spectacular and we saw seals popping up in the sea every so often. The cafe is great too.
