An interesting contemporary sculpture I like to see when passing through the NAPE near Grand Lapa Hotel is the statue of Xian Xinghai Statue.

This is a provocative depiction of the Chinese musician born here in Macau. You'll find a bronze of Xinghai with his hands in cringed position with a strong facial expression.

It is a very intriguing monument, a rare contemporary statue of a historical figure you will find in Macau, one worth making time to see if you enjoy seeing statues and busts during your travels.

This avant-garde statue of Chinese composer Xian Xinghai is at a quiet park in Macau. Unfortunately not much information is available on site and visitors are probably clueless about the life of Xian.

For those staying at the Grand Lapa Hotel, there is an interesting sculpture in the leisure area behind the hotel towards the NAPE streets and buildings. This is the Xian Xinghai Statue.

Xian Xinghai (1905-1945) was a notable Chinese musician born in Macau who is memorialised with this contemporary style bronze sculpture found behind the Grand Lapa Hotel. The image is is thought provoking, with Xian Xinghai seemingly amidst some form of musical creation with his arm raised and peculiar shape taking form.

Overall, this is an interesting sculpture to see if you happen to be in this area of Macau. However, it is probably not worth going out of your way to seek out if in Macau for a short stay.
