Presently hosting works from the 3rd Macao Printmaker Triennial
Feb 2019 • Couples
The IACM Exhibition space is a three room gallery located on the ground floor of Leal Senado. It provides a good opportunity to view interesting art, artefacts and other items of historical, heritage or cultural interest. Opening hours are 9am to 9pm daily and exhibitions are always free to the public.

Currently, the IACM Exhibition gallery is one of five locations around Macau being used to host the 3rd Macao Printmaker Triennial exhibition (28 Dec 2018 to 17 March 2019). Of the 175 works being shown as part of this exhibition, perhaps 20-25 are at this location. We found some to be quite interesting and were glad to have stopped by to see the works o display.

Generally speaking, I've found the temporary exhibitions held at the IACM gallery at Leal Senado to be pretty good, worth a 10-15 minutes of your time as part of your visit to this World Heritage attraction in the Historic Centre of Macau.

Free art, culture, heritage and history exhibitions at Leal Senado
Apr 2018 • Solo
When visiting Leal Senado, you will find the small three room gallery where you can view a changing rotation of temporary exhibitions, many of which have been very good in the past. Opening hours are 9am to 9pm daily (closed on Mondays)

Exhibitions are free of charge and have featured local artworks and history programs as well as visiting exhibitions from various regions of China featuring interesting historic artefacts, vases and other precious items as well as Chinese calligraphy and artworks.

The temporary exhibitions are always worth 10-15 minutes of time if not longer if you are enjoying what you see. You can conveniently include with your general visit to the historic Leal Senado building at Senado Square.

The IACM Building is Worth Visiting Alone + Free + Exhibits
Jul 2018 • Family
This IACM Building is stunning and a must visit for architecture lovers. It is right across the road from Senado Square so it's easy to access and it's free. When we visited, the visiting exhibition was about the Chinese Culture.

Although this place is only small, it is worth visiting and it also has a quality souvenir shop where you can buy Portuguese blue tiled inspired items. I bought a beautiful fridge magnet that was in the shape of the Macau street signs.

Interesting art, artefacts and history exhibitions held throughout the year
Dec 2015 • Couples
Within the Leal Senado World Heritage attraction, you will find the IACM Exhibition Gallery (free entry) which hosts art, artefact and history exhibitions throughout the year. Gallery opening hours are 9am to 9pm daily including public holidays.

This is a small three room gallery which has had some very good exhibitions in recent years. Past exhibitions that we have enjoyed included the history of Avenida de Almeida Ribeiro (a major avenue in Macau) as well as several temporary exhibitions displaying ancient Chinese artefacts from various regional museums in China.

Recently we were treated to Tang Dynasty period glazed pottery. Early in 2015, the gallery hosted a collection of bronze treasures from the Shanxi region. There is often Chinese calligraphy at from time to time, art exhibitions featuring works of local artists.

You can conveniently visit the Exhibition Gallery of IACM at the Leal Senado building during your sightseeing around Senado Square. It is always worth popping in for a brief stop to see what sort of exhibition is on display.
