No longer an art zone! Now just an outdoor carpark.
Nov 2018 • Solo
For several years this was a neat spot to view creative graffiti art - not far from the Senado Square and the ruins of St. Paul's. Unfortunately, the grounds were converted into an outdoor carpark a couple years back. The walls were cleaned of all artworks and the park benches removed. The Muse Graffiti Zone is no more in Macau.

The graffiti zone has become a car park

Sadly, the Muse Graffiti Zone which had been the location for creative and original street art space for as long as I have been visiting Macau was recently converted into a parking lot and the artworks gone.

While there is a huge need for parking in the city centre area, it is a shame to see this art space eliminated in Macau. The old artworks are now covered with a fresh coat of white paint. The park benches, seating areas and children's play area have been removed.

Now you will only see a lot full of automobiles. Oh well!!! The Muse Graffiti Zone was nice while it lasted.

Muse Graffiti Zone - Turning bad space into great art space
Sep 2015 • Couples
The Muse Graffiti Zone is located on Rua dos Mercadores in between Senado Square and the Ruins of St. Paul. This is an old residential area that was cleared and converted into an open space with park benches, exercise equipment for the elderly and open wall space for local graffiti artists to leave their mark. Opening hours are 9am to 9pm daily.

This is a neat spot to pop in and see creative and tactful graffiti creations. Artworks change a few times a year so there is always something different to see ranging from Chinese New Year inspired images to those hinting at social, technology and fashion incorporated into the creative designs of the artists who use the empty public wall space here to express themselves.

You can enter the Muse Graffiti Zone freely and take photos. It is a fun stop to make if you are wandering the streets in this area of Macau and can be enjoyed comfortable in 10-15 minutes of your time.

Note: This is also a good spot to grab a seat and rest your feet if you've been out sightseeing for a while and need a break.
