Traditional Almond Cookies! If Don't Buy also Must Try!
Dec 2019
The Koi Kei Bakery is famous for its Almond Biscuit or cookies. It is delicious and aromatic. You can see many shops selling Almond or Peanut cookies but Koi Kei is one of the famous shop there. It is almost like Macdonald at every lane or street of Macao.

Black Sesame LOVERS MUST GO TO Place!
Mar 2019 • Family
If you love Black Sesame and Ginger - this is the place to come and stock up! LOVE that you can try pretty much EVERYTHING they have to offer - they have the BEST BLACK Sesame candy - wish I bought more - didn't realize they were individually packed in the big package. AND their crunchy peanut candy with black sesame! I can't find it anywhere where I live - SO GOOD! And their ginger with coconut! Everything they have here is so unique and different. And did I say they let you try everything?? They also have different kinds of jerkys - almond cookies... too bad I didn't have enough room in my baggage to bring more back!! You need to come to this bakery and just try everything - so unique and different!! And they do price it in such a way if you buy say 5 - you get more of a discount! :)

.... for the gourmet inside you!!
Nov 2018 • Friends
It is a bakery - and yet so much more... why? here it is:
- first of all I have to say - they sell the best Portuguese Egg Tart I have ever eaten. Crumbly very fresh doe, silky smooth filling, the topping almost like a very delicate creme brulee (most delicate you can imagine- and you are far from what this taste like). And altogether is simply great - locally baked such an explosion of taste and texture - definitely you have to try.
- biscuits - with various flavours - plus the show they are putting up in showing you how the biscuits are made - actually how those are hand made!
- the most unexpected item - crackling - yes you see it well - is crunchy thin pig skin sweetened ... totally unexpected and very tasty.
Prices - well I would say not cheap - but yet again this is no ordinary bakery - this is something to plan your trip around it .... at least if you like sweets and the strange sweets that you wouldn't expect.
Overall I can tell you if you by any chance are interested just a little in food / bakery .... is simply great I recommend you check it out ... definitely worth it - enjoy the tarts!

Great products and ideal souvenir gifts

This place is more a gourmet shop than bakery. Lots of different cookies plus dried pork, oils and heaps of other goodies. They also have special cookies for which the proceeds go to local charities. The quality of the biscuits is superb and they have many products available for tasting. Definitely a wonderful place to visit

Macau Food Trip

Arriving and Leaving Macau have to bring back a box of almond cookies home, I highly recommend Koi Kei Bakery and you find everywhere in Macau. They allow you to try as they have also other specialities snacks to bring home. I bought the original almond cookies and also a pork floss almond cookies. Surprisingly, both taste delicious.

Must eat egg tarts
May 2018 • Couples
I have sampled the egg tarts from Hong Kong but Macau's Portuguese egg tart is my favorite. Their tarts have more filling and have a burnt layer on top, not too sweet and the crust was perfect for me.

Downside is that it cost twice as much from it's Hong Kong counterpart.

When visiting Macau, these pastry is a must try.

Buy as much as you can

Best Portugese egg tart I’ve tasted so far! Prepare to wait because almost all the time, their tarts are sold out. But I assure you, this is worth the wait!

Must Try in Macao
Jan 2018 • Family
Indeed ... Koi Kee is everywhere in Macao. You find many outlets along the same streets in Senado Square, in Macao Ferry Terminal, in the big Casino hotels etc etc. Free & very generous sampling. We were at their outlet nearest to St Paul's Ruins and we sampled the cookies as they were freshly hand-made or baked fresh. I could taste the warmth of the almond cookies & egg rolls ... too tempting not to buy home. As we walked further down Senado Street, away from St Paul's Ruins, we were amazed to find many similar Koi Kee shops, the shops get less & less crowded as you walk away from St Paul's Ruins site. If you miss buying because you were too busy touring the sights, you can still buy them at the upper level of Outer Harbour Macau Ferry Terminal just before you board your ferry ... The price is the same here.

Must Buy as Souvenirs
Oct 2017 • Family
You will find the bakery all over Macau. My advice is to buy from less known branches since it's hard to shop around this store if there are many tourists around (near Ruins of St. Paul). They have a free taste of almost all their goodies. We made a mistake of not buying enough egg tart and jerky when we were in Macau since they have a branch in Mongkok. But it was very limited (no egg tarts) and way more expensive.
