The Banyan tree Macau Spa was undoubtedly one of the most amazing spa experiences I have ever had . The tranquility of the surroundings from the moment we arrived set the tone for the most relaxed afternoon . I had the time to explore and enjoy the facilities of spa

…but this is one of the most beautiful spaces I have ever been in, coupled with one of the very best massages I have ever had (90 minute ‘Thai classic’). The space for each guest is OUTRAGEOUS: it’s bigger than anyone’s flat in HK, for example and the ambience created is truly idyllic. The general areas are decorated so beautifully too. I cannot rate this spa highly enough. Yes it’s expensive but if you would like to really treat yourself, it’s an exceptional place to have a massage!

I went to Galaxy with my wife for relaxation. My wife said she wished to try a spa. Finally I sent her to Banyan Tree Spa. We arrived the lobby with grand decoration and comfortable environment. The staff explained to my wife patiently. She chose Lomi Lomi massage & a facial treatment. She spent approx 2 and a half hours. And she said it's really great! We can't wait to go again, this time I will bring my whole family, my parents & daughter to enjoy a 3d2n trip in July and try the spa again!
PS: I would like to ask could a couple enjoy the spa together in a room or needed to be separated?

I had the spa treatment on 7th April 2017 at 11:30 am.
First of all, before I called and booked the treatments, the spa employee confirmed me that the treatments are weekday price. However, when I checked in, the receptionist Eva told me Friday is not weekday price. As a five start hotel, I think that no matter what you promised to the guests, you must fulfilled it. It is a serious problem about the hotel and spa reputation.
Besides, before the treatment started, I already informed that I don’t want to hear too much noise from the water sink. But during the treatments, the therapist kept opening the water sink and I found out the therapist was changing the water and towel at least 4 times. As a 5 star hotel spa, I think that it is not hygiene at all.
I have visited so many hotel spa, all of them would only use the “one time used” towel due to the hygiene issue. One of my friend already came once before and she felt disappointed afterwards. However, she still wanted to give one more chance as she believed that banyan tree is one of the best hotel spa in the world. And this time on 7th April, this is exactly my friend’s birthday, and both of us were not relaxing at all.
Moreover, the eye pillow for the treatment had oily smell. We strongly think that it was not clean which is unacceptable as a 5 star hotel spa. Also, the therapist seems not familiar with the facial treatment as the soft mask is watery and the therapist dropped it everywhere. If the therapist is not well-trained, it shouldn’t do the treatment to affect hotel reputation.
After finished the treatments, we complained to the receptionist Eva. She was nice and apologized to us and trying to find a way to solve this issue. She went to back office and talked to the spa manger. However, the spa manger didn’t show up at all and just passed a $200 coupon to Eva and discounted the bill. I was not asking for discount. I just wanted the spa manger could face this serious problem. However, the behavior that the spa manager did, made me felt like insulting. I spent money for the spa to relax, I completely didn’t expect that I would receive the service like this in a 5 star hotel.
I really hope that the company could solve this problem properly and provide a good service to guests.

Truly sorry that we disappointed you last Friday, thank you so much to spend time and share with me the details where we can improve, those are very valuable to us. Allow me to share my actions of improvement and explanation on your points raised:
1) Pricing: it’s our responsibility to provide clear information on the key information like pricing, I will take step from here and emphasize to my team members on this.
2) Towel uses in Facial which cause of hygiene concern: All our facial treatment are using disposable cotton facial sheet (6pcs for each facial treatment). But to ensure the clean water are used all the time, two time of water change is required, as well as the therapist hands need to wash and keep clean during the process. Understand the noise of water tab really bothers you, we will keep a note for your next visit that use 10pcs of facial sheet then therapist will only need to go to the tab once during the facial treatment.
3) Therapist is not skillful for facial treatment: Thanks for sharing the details below, we will schedule a time to re-test the therapist’s facial skill and arrange necessary training for her.
4) Eye pillow gets oily smell: We had immediately checked all eye pillows to ensure the fresh smell.
5) Manager is not showed up: It’s always our great honor to meet our guest and assist them, especially our repeat valuable guest like you. Truly sorry about this misunderstanding, the manager and myself was actually away for meeting and received calls from Eva. I actually asked Eva to make a remark in the system allow myself to meet you in your next visit.
Again, your comments are really highly appreciated and thanks for your trust to bring all these to my attention. Looking forward to see you again in Banyan Tree Spa and ensure you receive the best experience of Banyan Tree.

This hotel has simply the highest standard and enormous amount of luxury. Its a real treat. My room was large with wlking closet, sophisticated WC, heated pool, living room, etc. It was simply amazing. Its within the Galaxy complex which has everything you want from casino to shopping mall. The restuarants and food are incredible. The hotel deserves more than 5 stars.

I flew from Japan to Hong Kong for the weekend so my friend and I could visit this spa. We took the ferry on Saturday. Due to a tactical misjudgment, my didn't have his passport. He was deported back to Hong Kong. We had no choice... we needed to return the next day. The experience here at this spa is too valuable!
The massage service is of a highly professional level. The rooms are opulently appointed. Every measure of care is taken to ensure a comfortable experience.
In particular, Henna at the concierge desk took care of our every need. Always understanding and sincere, Henna anticipated our unexpressed wishes and delivered. We want to visit again as soon as possible.

We stayed in a villa, and we have the opportunity to enjoy a in room spa. Very relaxing, you will definitely fall asleep... Prices are kind of steep... But services and after spa goodies are definitely top notched. How can you not having a spa while staying at Banyan tree?

It is great to learn from your Spa experience in Banyan Tree Villa. For the in Villa massage, we also would like to provide the complete Banyan Tree Spa experience to guests including the foot bath with scrub, choice of massage oil, Tibetan bell experience upon completion of the treatment, etc for letting the guest to fully enjoy not only the massage but also the overall experience.
It is recommended to visit our Banyan Tree Spa during your visit with Macau which we have a bamboo garden build at the center of the Spa and some of rooms are equipped with the green wall with real plants installed which you may request the particular treatment room type during the reservation.

I decided to purchase an hour spa massage after joining their perfume balm workshop (which is conducted every Saturdays). The experience from the time i arrived to the moment i left the spa is very good. 5 star experience. The receptionist is knowledgable. She asks many questions in order to determine the type of massage that i needed. In the end, my tired body deserves the sports massage from Lamai. Lamai is exceptionally awesome. She knows which part of my body needs attention and the strength level to knead. Trust me, an hour massage is definitely not enough. I will definitely return for a longer session. My masseur has to be Lamai.

This spa here is very professional offers a multitude of massages and therapies. If your body requires to rejuvenation you cannot beat going to the spa. I would return again in a heartbeat if I was in the area.

Hi evannanee, Banyan tree spa is actually pretty busy , especially on Saturday. Definitely recommend to make a reservation in advance, you can decide what sort of treatment you prefer at your consultation time to suit your own needs. I do recall their last appointment time is around 9ish 10. You can also go on their website to take a glance at various treatment they offer. Hope that is helpful, and have a wonderful time.
