We found the souvenir/gift shop staff selling the Gondola tickets not very helpful. They did not explain that we could pay to get a private ride. This is what we were expecting instead we ended up with a shared couples ride. Staff selling the tickets need to be briefed properly to give out correct information. The staff running the Gondola ride were lovely and explained that people selling the tickets were not working with them. We enjoyed the boat ride and being seranaded by a lady who had a lovely voice.

We took a Gondola ride at Venetian Macau in May 2019. We were 2 families consisting of 2 adults and 2 kids each. Gondola ride is a boat ride in an artificially created canal, replica of Venice canals, in the Venetian hotel. Surrounded by various shops in the SUPER MALL on 3rd floor (or was it 1st?) it is a unique experience indeed. The artificial sky along with the talented singer makes for a memorable boat ride. But, but, but ... 540 HKD (5,200 INR) for a 10 to 15 minute ride in a closed Mall environment, well, doesn't really qualify as value for money. Since the maximum capacity is 6 per boat, we had no options but to take 2 boats! So, in effect it costed us 1080 HKD. CON - the water is stagnant water and seems dirty and the canal length is quite small. There are 3 of them and we believe all three are nearly same.

One of the popular activities for visitors at Venetian Macau is to take a gondola ride through a section of the canals located on Level 3 of the hotel property. Here visitors can ride Venetian style gondolas like those you may have seen plying the canals of Venice. In a similar fashion, gondoliers serenade riders with romantic Italian songs while you ride through a small section of the canals at Venetian Macau. It is touristy but fun activity for those who have never been to Venice. You'll find the gondola rides at Grand Canal, Marco Polo and Sun Luca sections of the Venetian canals. The cost MOP135 per adult, MOP103 per child, MOP540 for private gondola hire. You purchase tickets at the Gondola shops (No. 832 and 891). Rides are available from 11am to 10pm daily.

The ride was interesting if one were to take a picture one may be fooled by it as the scene very much look as if we are riding the gondola in open air but it was actually inside a building. The gondola paddler was friendly nice and can sing beautifully it felt as if you are living through a show as she serenades you with your choice of song. The price is a bit on the steep side but what isn't when you are in The Venetian, Macau.

We booked ride in advance in Klook app. I thought at it will be activity outside the hotel - well, it wasn't. Canals are inside, heaven above heads are painting on the ceiling. Disappointing. There were only 2 gondolas the day we had booking, so it was quite long waiting time. Ride was nice, but short. Gondolier sang songs and played guitar. Overall, it is not worth 1 hour waiting, not mention price.
