Early 20th century building with European architecture
Apr 2018 • Solo
One of the interesting historic buildings to see in the St. Lazarus Quarter is the early 20th century Chui Lok Chi Mansion, named after the original owner and former president of the Macau Tung Sin Tong Charitable Society.

The property is located just across from St. Lazarus Church. It is three stories and featuring a delightful European facade, column lined balconies with stucco ornamentation and ironwork railings.

The Chui Lok Chi Mansion is an impressive building to see when exploring the district. For good pictures, simply stand in front of the church and snap away.

Beautiful heritage building in St. Lazarus district, now open to the public
Aug 2014 • Couples
Chui Lok Chi Mansion is found just across from St. Lazarus in the St. Lazarus Parish, northeast of the Historic City Centre of Macau. This building was building was constructed in 1918 and offers a classic European style facade with balconies on each floor facing the street.

Recently the Chui Lok Chi Mansion has been opened up to the public to display 'The Collection Exhibition of Tai Fung Tong Art House (free to visit), displaying around 300 various items from Neolithic to recent time period. The exhibition is from 2-6pm each day (closed Monday).

We are happy to see the Chui Lok Chi Mansion opened to the public now. It is joined by other recent opening, like the Macau Story House, G32 Gallery and Macau Fashion Gallery, which have all become available to visit in the St. Lazarus district in the past couple of years.

Tip: The Chui Lok Chi Mansion is included in the 'Charitable Organizations' historic walk, which is sponsored by the Dpt. of Cultural Activities and Recreation of Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau. You can visit their Macau Streets website to learn more about similar historic walks in Macau.
