Once an icon of old Macau, famously featured in the James Bond classic - The Man With the Golden Gun (1974), the Macau Palace (also referred to as the Floating Casino) is no longer around to be seen.

For many years, the Macau Palace moored in the Outer Harbour just in front of what is now Fisherman's Wharf. It was closed down in 2007 and hauled away to the other side of Macau where it sat idol in the bay at Fai Chi Kei for quite a few years. However, 2-3 years ago it was removed. Not sure to where the old floating casino was sent or if it was simply demolished. Regardless, the old Macau Palace is no more in Macau.

could not get a proper location for this on google. When i arrived in Macau i asked both taxi drivers and travel guides the location for this and they all said it doesn't exist anymore. Very disapointed as this is where they filmed a movie location from James Bond, 'The Man with the Golden Gun.'

Nick-named 'the pirate boat', the old casino boats retain their old world charm and atmosphere of the bygone age, when most of the new (or not that new) casino hotels were noy yet built. The name 'pirate boat' was according to losers. It is worth a look as if to see the beginning of the entertaimnet age of Macau, at no cost for a visit.

The Macau Palace (Floating Casino) was very much a product of the old Macau, being easily recognisable to those familiar with the 1974 - James Bond classic 'The Man With the Golden Gun'.

This old Macau icon was closed in 2007 and hauled away to make room for the development of the Fisherman's Wharf. I believe it was sent to a port in China for repair or preservation. However, there has been very little news of the Macau Palace making a comeback in Macau. As of now it remains in our memories (and James Bond films) only.

You get a taste of Las vegas without going so far. The casinos are incredible and it's an easy crossing from Hong Kong for the day out.
So much action in the casino and had fun losing just a few dollars. Good foods available.

Driven by curiosity to see this beautiful and particular Casino and after seeing it in the last James Bond movie I just wanted to make sure to gather all the information possible to get in and figure out where he was.
Precisely it is indeed located a few hundred metres from the marine terminal.
Once outside I found myself in front of such a bitter vision, the Casino was gone, only the entrance was marked by a picturesque red arch in Chinese style but judging from waste that were scattered around them I realized that the Casino was not here already for a long time suppose for months.
I was really disappointed and even though I haven't had the good fortune to see it so I hope that one day it will returns to occupy the place that belongs to it.

The palace is another place in Macau which is worth visiting and spending time at. The beauty os the architecture makes you love the place and people who were involved in building the structure of the monument. Worth visiting and spending good time.
