Go through the Venetian which is across the street from Sheraton and the Sands Cotai Central property. From the West Exit of Venetian, you simply cross over the main road by bridge and then follow a series of escalators that will take you along the artificial lake in front of the Taipa Houses Museum. At the end of the escalators, you are there in historic village of Taipa. Allow 20 minutes for this walk from Sheraton.

Hi all, I brought my pram (with my 3-year old boy) along to Taipa Village. Survived and it wasn't that bad. Cobblestones and slopes are a challenge, but we managed to see all of the village. Hope that serves as a gauge, if any.

Generally most of the hotels have free shuttles, so I guess Conrad will also have, just ask where they go and the timetable

Galaxy and Venetian are both across the street from Taipa Village. As someone living in the village, I will say it is a quicker walk to the Galaxy. Both resorts are quite large, so while next to each other and both across the street - you will be able to get from the Galaxy to/from the village easier just due to where building entrances are. It is very easy to exit the Galaxy resort and walk to the village - the exit is near the movie theater/food court with signs that help direct you to 'Old Taipa Village'. The walk is mostly flat, and where there are stairs there is also a ramp nearby. You do have to cross a busy street, but there is a marked crossing and many people so you won't be crossing alone. I can usually walk there in about 5-7 minutes, but I do walk quite fast. I would say walking slowly you will easily cross the street to enter the village in about 15 minutes maybe 20 if you're moving quite slow. From the Venetian you can exit from the West Lobby and take two different routes. The easiest walk, that is also across flat ground, is to walk up the street towards the Galaxy and then cross directly into the village (at the same place you would walking from the Galaxy). I would estimate 30 minutes if you are walking slowly. There are nice sidewalks from Venetian to Galaxy and it is an easy flat walk. The second route from Venetian would be to exit the West Lobby and then take the overpass walkway over the road. This will then route you down a quiet walkway towards the Taipa Houses along the water - the only thing is, to get into the village proper you then have to walk up (and then down) several stairs or up (and then down) a steep hill. I would say this route is a little longer if you are a slow walker, but if the stairs and hill are not an issue then I would also say it is a nicer walk. Both the Galaxy and Venetian run free busses from casino to major Macau scenic areas. Just ask the front desk or concierge for information. They also run to/from airport and ferry terminals and are quite convenient. Make note of the start/end times for the day though - they do not run all night! You can easily walk between the two properties - as I mentioned it is a nice flat walk on good sidewalks between the two. You would exit/enter Venetian via the West Lobby and exit/enter the Galaxy near the movie theater and food court. I am not sure, but they may even have a shuttle between them - I don't know all the shuttle bus routes run by the hotels, but several make it easy to get between them. Again, just check those shuttle options with the hotel. The public bus system is quite easy to use and rather cheap. You can easily find bus info using Google maps, or there is also an app called Macau Easy Go that has bus info as well. Taxis are an okay option - but sometimes hard to find, and some of the drivers can be quite difficult. ALWAYS make sure they turn the meter on. Know that there is a small surcharge to put luggage in the boot - per piece. Do not let them try to charge you any extra fees or flat rates. There are many good taxi drivers here in Macau - but also many dodgy ones. Don't be scared, just be aware and informed. Catching a taxi from the hotel will usually be quite easy, but sometimes the line can be very long. Catching a taxi from anywhere around town back to the hotel can be difficult and lines at taxi stand can be very long. I would say just be ready to have a plan B to use a bus so you don't feel stuck or frustrated. Uber is not allowed in Macau. There is a local call taxi - I haven't used it, but I have heard it is only useful if you speak Chinese. I do not know specifics unfortunately. I have stayed at both Venetian and Galaxy - Venetian has better shopping but I think Galaxy has better restaurants. Rooms at both are great. If you come in the summer wanting to go to the pool - Galaxy has best pools in Macau. In Taipa Village I would recommend the following eateries: Don Quixote Spanish Tapas for somewhere with many choices on menu Old Taipa Tavern for drinks and pub food El Gaucho Macau for a nice dinner of very delicious Argentinian BBQ In Portuguese for tasty local food - small building with may stairs to a beautiful rooftop, but also seating available on ground floor. Bella Taipa for delicious Italian food And many, many others....the village is full of options - the above are just my favorites! Hope you enjoy Macau!

Taipa Village is locaetd across the Galaxy casino complex. It is a 10 mn ride from the Taipa ferry terminal, about MOP 40 by taxi, or 20 mn from the Outer Harbour ferry terminal, about MOP 75

The walk to Taipa is done by foot. There is a walk escalator in one stretch and there is a elevator to cross the traffic circle. It's a raised walkway above the road.
