The Former Municipal Cattle Stable (formerly Ox Warehouse) is an old cattle stable and quarantine located at the corner of Avenida do Coronel Mesquita and Avenida Almirante Lacerda at the foot of Mong Ha Hill. Historically, constructed in 1912 the old cattle stable was in use until 1987.
Up until 5-6 years ago, this historic venue was repurposed as an art venue under the name Ox Warehouse which regularly hosted exhibitions mainly of local artists which you could view on a daily basis. There was even an upstairs coffee shop here around 10 years ago. These art sponsored events and exhibitions are now held at other historic properties more centrally located.
It seems according to the ICM website, the Former Municipal Cattle Stable is still used for less regular exhibitions and events held from time to time and as such is temporarily open to visits. However, for the most part you are likely to find it closed, meaning you can only view the old stable building from the outside. This may be interesting if you plan to visit attractions around Mong Ha Hill and are already in the area. Otherwise, if you are trying to find art venues, there are other places to visit now instead.
Note: there are other early 20th-century colonial style homes known as the Mong-ha villas a short distance away that are worth a look see as well if this is the kind of sightseeing you enjoy.

Ox Warehouse is a creative art space and place for visiting artist-in-residents to from different countries to base in Macau for arts study, creation and showcasing.
It can be found in the early 20th century municipal cattle stables next to Mong Ha hill at the intersection of Ave. do Coronel Mesquita and Ave. do Almirante Lacerda. What you will find here is basically an old cattle station converted into large indoor art space. They also have a small cafe as well.
Note: This summer a new exhibition opened called 'Hot Flows - Pearl River Delta Arts Retrospective in Macao'. This is a collaboration between Ox Warehouse and Art Museum of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts. You can visit this exhibition until 23rd of October 2019. Opening ours are 12-7pm daily (closed on Mondays). Entry is free.

The Ox Warehouse is an art space workshop, gallery and small cafe occupying an old slaughterhouse on Avenida do Coronel Mesquita near to the Canidrome in Macau.
The venue, formerly referred to as the 'Old Ladies House Are Space', began featuring contemporary art exhibitions, lectures and other performances here in 2002. Today, it is the regular scene of local art activity. We recently visited and enjoyed seeing the Graffiti, Maze – A Creative Group Exhibition (2/3-4/5) and found the works interesting. Some of the artists, featured here, show their works elsewhere, like the 10 Fantasia gallery in St. Lazarus district.
In addition to the exhibitions, there is a cute cafe on the second floor that serves good hand drip coffee. Unfortunately, it is only open on weekends 12-7pm and not available during weekday visits.
Overall, we like the Ox Warehouse but find it to be more suitable for Macau residents and frequent visitors to Macau who have done the major attractions and are looking for something new and different. For art fans, we might suggest starting with Fantasia10 Gallery and other venues in the St. Lazarus and Tap Seac area first. This is a better location nearer to the historic city centre. Then make your way to Ox Warehouse if in the mood for more of Macau's aspiring arts scene.
Hint: Ox Warehouse has a blog site and are regularly featured in the What's On Macau online publication of local events & performances. These are worth checking out first if you are considering a visit here during your trip to Macau.
Hint: For those that are planning to dine at the IFT Educational Restaurant, this is a short distance away and can be easily visited before your dinner.

We went there but found out, that it’s no longer there. There was a very small art exhibition that was government funded, which wasn’t overwhelming.
