Take a walk around the lake, catch some paddle boating activities or just sit and take in the beauty of Macau from here. It's a lovely spot for families, couples or just for some alone time by the water.

A recent development at Nam Van Lake is that of the Anim'Arte NAM VAN Leisure area located at the northern most end of the lake, along Ave. Panoramica do Lago Nam Van.
This is a joint project combining efforts of several leisure, cultural, sports and tourism departments along with the Institute for Tourism Studies to form a leisure area along Nam Van Lake for the benefit of both residents and tourists alike.
Here you will find a craft market, related shops and art exhibition space, along with a IFT Cafe, promenade with art installations. Much of the open space has become a place for street art designs as well. These are interested to look at and add a lot of colour to the area.
There is paddle boats which you can make use of as well between 11am and 6pm. Two seater boats (MOP20 per person - 30 minutes) and Four-seater boats MOP30 per person - 30 minutes).
We are very happy to see the Anim'Arte NAM VAN open up at lake. This is a responsible endeavour and has created much needed family-friendly entertainment and leisure space within short distance of the Historic City Centre of Macau.

Nam Van Lake is one of two artificial lakes on the southern side of the peninsula. The Friendship bridge runs through the lake, there is also a nice promenade along the east side of the lake that can be accessed through Wynn, MO and MGM Macau properties. This is a nice leisurely area to have a walk.
A fews back, the Anim'Arte NAM VAN Leisure area opened at the northern most end of the lake, along Ave. Panoramica do Lago Nam Van. This is a family-friendly area to enjoy paddle and some interesting arts, crafts and souvenir shops.
Nam Van Lake is also a good location to watch firework displays held in the nearby harbour. Sai Van Lake is a better location for the performances but the promenade on Nam Van Lake is a close second.

If you want to have some peaceful place were you can relax then Nam Van Lake is the good place in Macau. You can bring some snacks and chill beside the seaside with nice view of the Macau Tower as well as the whole lake. There is near McDonalds in the area and less than 10 minutes by walk if you want to buy something in Supermarket. In the afternoon, they have pedal boat ride the fee is around 20$HKD/MOP for Swan boat two seated and around 40$HKD/MOP for 4 seated pedal boat. You can enjoy the ride for 15 minutes. This place is great for solo and group of people or family.

Nam Van Lake is one of two lakes in Macau. It also has a sister lake which called Sai Van Lake. It is a quite beautiful place in Macau which has the good environment and it is a very good place to take photo. There has a big Firework festival every September and October. The lake offers water sports including kayaking and rowing. The plaza around the lake makes for running and jogging. And there have many luxury brand, It may have some bad effect to the environment. It is because not all the people love luxury things. Some people are like simple life. I have some recommendations to those guys who want to go to the Nam Van Lake. The best day to go there is September and October; and the best time to go there is evening and night. Because you can see the Beautiful night sights and the fireworks festival.

There is an International Fireworks Display Contest in here every year, and the contest is held in September and October. I watched the fireworks display contest every year and I think that all fireworks of different countries are wonderful. In this year, I came here and watched the fireworks displays which from Japan and Korea, they were beautiful and colorful, and I felt that they were not enough for me to enjoy after the fireworks displays are finished. For this reason, I came here again, and the fireworks displays from Italy and Canada this time. Four countries’ fireworks displays are different, but they are equally wonderful. This is a special activity in Macau, there are lots of people go there for watching with friends and family. Also, it is worth watching and suitable for people of all ages.
You can go there if you interest in this activity, and there is a good place for visiting with your partner because of romantic.

In normal day, here are a lake which can let your whole body and mind relax, just sit down there enjoy the view and the wind blow on you, after you get hungry, there are McDonald's and cafe nearby, but I like it and go to there every year not only because to have a relax walk and take photo of beautiful view, but because there also have some event to be hold, such as some band show and Arts and Crafts Fair, and the most famous one-bazaar, every year I will go to there, there have game to play and food to eat, and also have lottery that have big prize, I have win a big prize in game there before, the peaceful lake will become very lively on that two days, it was a place which can let me relax but also have fun, so you can just go to there if you have nothing to do

Sunday afternoon is the most interesting time to be at the lake with occasional live entertainment and ever passing crowd of onlookers.

It's really not a tourist attraction. You can run around it, but there is no proper running path, just concrete sidewalk. It's the location of the annual dragon boat races, so that's really when one would go there.

Nam Van lake is adjacent to the city center, nearby the casinos, actually right next to Wynn and MGM. There is a promenade that allows for a stroll but it is only nice next to the casino area. At other areas the promenade is quite poor. Around the lake there are often activities like fairs, dragon boat race etc, then it brings the area to life, but without... No need to put it on your to do list, just not worth it.
