The Zhulin Temple is located on Estrada e Coelho da Amaral near the Three Lamps District. Built in 1991, this is one of Macau's youngest temples and is an interesting place to visit if you plan to spend time in this area of the city.

What you find is a complex with a handful of halls setup around an open courtyard. There are numerous shrines setup with deity figures, which are nice to see. You'll also find tiled artworks, fountain, hanging incense coils. There is planted bamboo around the temple walls offering some green and shade. There is an impressive ficus growing upward over one of the temple interior halls. This is nice to see as well.

Unfortunately, Zhulin Temple isn't promoted by MGTO and is rarely mentioned in tourist publications so there is a good chance you've not heard about this particular temple. However, if you enjoy visiting temples, this is a good one to see in Macau.

The Zhulin Temple which is also referred to as the Bamboo Temple and was built in 1991. What you find here is an open interior courtyard surrounded by small temple halls and chambers with numerous shrines and deity figures. The temple includes nice tile artwork and a fountain with a particularly beautiful statue of the Goddess A-Ma. There are tall bamboo trees planted around the wall and a large ficus tree climbing up one of the temple structures.

You can find the Zhulin Temple along Estrada e Coelho da Amaral and combine it with visits to the the Three Lamps District, Red Market and Mong-ha Hill area attractions.

Zhulin (Bamboo Garden) is a small temple and garden found on Estrada e Coelho da Amaral. It was only recently constructed in 1991, making it a particularly young temple by local terms.

This is not one of the famous temple in Macau and won't make the sightseeing list for many visitors to Macau. However, it is a decent one to see, if you happen to be in the area to visit the Red Market and Three Lamps District of Macau. The inner garden, fountain statue of Kun Iam and pagoda are interesting and there are tiled deity murals and a small batch of bamboo, both appealing as well.

In the end, not much of a priority visit, particularly if you are only in Macau for a short time. Just stop by if you are in the area to see other attractions. Otherwise, we'd suggest concentrating your time on more interesting and important temple visits or seeking those closer to the Historic City Centre of Macau instead.

Zhulin is a small temple in Macau. The people there greeted us kindly and one of the monk showed us around the temple. The garden is full of bamboo and other small plants. A peaceful corner in the middle of town. We also made a small donation as a thank-you gift for the monk guide.
