Take the one day tour of Macau with Mario, he is a Portugese Local of over 30 years. He gives great history of the Macau city before and after the hand over to China. Worth paying the extra fee to go to the tallest tower in Macau and we did see a young woman bungee jump from the top deck of the tower. Enjoy the trip to the local pastry shop and try all the delicious treats. Remember if traveling back to the US, no pork jerky or products alike can be taken back to the states :(

We visited Macau In November along with our 2 children (aged 4 and 6).

I firmly believe that people you meet on trips can be the difference between a trip and a great trip with everlasting memories. This was one of those trips with everlasting memories.

I highly HIGHLY recommend Aubrey. He speaks English very well and he knows Macau and it's history inside out. He was very kind, patient and there was no question he could not answer. Our kids loved him and he was always cracking jokes and filling us with information regarding all the locations we visited.
His van is air conditioned (believe me it was HOT when we were there) so we really appreciated that along with the cleanliness of transportation.

I know people are hesitant about getting a tour guide when they are visiting a new city: worth the cost? worth my time? Why not do it by ourselves?

If you are planning on getting one: even if for a few hours don't hesitate to call him :)

Here is his contact information:

Aubrey introduced himself to us at the ferry terminal - we were going to guide ourselves but Aubrey rescued us !! He was an excellent guide , loads of local knowledge and very passionate about the history of Macau- bringing together the Portuguese and Chinese history . He was also a really great guy .

We arrived in Macau with no agenda. We were approached by Aubrey at the ferry terminal. We initially declined his offer as tour guide. As our disorganized, unplanned group of 4 gathered to discuss what and where we should do on our one day in Macau, Aubrey re approached us offering free suggestions on where to go and what to do and most importantly told us not to forget to visit the World Heritage sites. We were so unprepared we did not even know there were World Heritage sites in Macau. We decided to engage Aubrey for a three hour tour. And what a tour it was! Apart from Aubrey's delightful personality, his knowledge and passion for all things Macau was amazing. We visited places and experienced a world we never knew existed, thanks to Aubrey.
We just wish there was an Aubrey at every place we visited.
So my advice to my fellow travelers who are thinking of visiting Macau for the first time - book a trip with Aubrey, I promise you you will not regret it!

We were fortunate to be met by Kenny who was the best travel guide we have had. Vehicle was meticulous his English great and local knowledge unbelievable.
The day went so quickly. We recommend this service to any one visiting the area. Best advice is don't prebook and look for Kenny at the terminal!

We got off the ferry and was approached by Tony Chan from Lotus Tour Travel. At first we thought he was an official from the tourism board, not trying to sell us anything.
However he worked for a local tour guide company, and offered us a 4 hr city tour and transportation to the other island for an evening show.
It was fantastic, he took us to all the main attractions, stopped at good photo spots for us, told us about history and life in Macau. He has been a guide there for 25 years.
Totally recommend, we couldn't have seen all the sights in a short visit, without him.

I took my parents, 2 kids (5 and 7) & sister for a 3-day Macau trip, so glad we book the tour with Aubrey!

He is so helpful, friendly and very informative about the local food and history.
He speakes well English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. My kids love to chat with him, and keep asking about when we will visit Macau and Aubrey again.
Thank you so much Aubrey, for a wonderful Macau trip.

Greeted by Aubrey with our name printed on a sign when we exit the ferry. Immediately connected with him. Very personable and knowlegable. My husband and I have traveled the world, and Aubrey was the best guide! He knows Macau, and gives historical background. I was amazed at the details he shared and how he was quick to point sites that we would of overlooked. His wife, Lydia was our driver and she too was wonderful. Aubrey is certified Unesco Cultural Specialist Guide and his knowledge demonstrates it. He is amazing, knowlegable, and humorous. If you want an excellent guide, Aubrey is your person. He was attentive and answered all our questions. We viewed 8 locations, and after the tour concluded he text us the list of names of locations so we did not have to worry about getting all the names for our photos. Excellent communications, well organized, and fun, Thank You Aubrey and Lydia!

This summer I was on a business trip in Hong Kong and on a rainy Sunday, I visited Macau. When we (group of 6) arrived at the Macau Ferry Terminal, we run into Aubrey and he convinced us to take a 3 hour tour with him. I did'nt had any expectations of him in the first place but his service and knowledge is excellent! It was an amazing tour and we have seen everything we wanted to see and much more. I can highly recommend to take a tour with Aubrey, you won't regret!
