This is Macau's most popular country park. A bit away from downtown, Seac Pai Van Park is more like a zoo with some animals and reptiles on display. Most tourists go for the four pandas. If there is enough gambling or binge spending, this is the perfect destination.

Coloane is the largest outlying island in Macau and Seac Pai Van Park is located there. It takes about 30 minutes to drive from the city centre to here. There are lots of things to do here. Before you start, you should buy a "Passport" from the Souvenir Shop and stamped on the passport as indicated. When you have collected all the stamps, you are entitled to a free gift.
The Giant Panada Pavilion was built in 2010 and has an area of 3000 sq m. It is the home of two pandas named "Kai Kai" and "Xin Xin", which means "happiness" in Chinese.
After you visited the Pavilion, you could head towards the large walkin aviary where you could see peacocks, pheasants, and other colourful species. There is also a small zoo, flowerbeds ornaments, children's playgrounds, a garden of native medicinal plants and the small but attractive Museum of Nature and Agriculture.
If you are tired, you could just sit down and enjoy a free DIY handicraft lesson and you could take your handmade craft home as souvenir.

This is a lovely park with a nice pond, some birds, several caged animals, a beautiful walking trail uphill through the jungle and an awesome red panda pavilion.
Entrance is free.
There's also a giant panda pavilion (entrance is 15 MOP per person).
The park itself was quite empty of visitors, which was a big plus.
Recommended while visiting Cotai.

This park is adjacent to the Macau Panda Pavilion, but has little to recommend it. There are 6 cages of monkeys and an ostrich coral and another 6 cages with birds and a deer. Although the cages were clean, they are just cement blacks with chain link fencing. Three of the six cages have a solitary monkey in it, and as monkeys are very social animals this makes for a very sad sight. The birds are in a similar situation. The cages are quite barren and provide no mental stimulation for these bored, sad animals. The park also contains a walk through bird aviary, however it is closed for the foreseeable future. There is a medical garden and an exotic garden, which are pathetic patches of land with little info and less than thriving foliage. The Panda information center is supposed to be an interactive multimedia educational experience, but most of it was not functioning now that the exhibit has been open for a while. There is a playground for small children that seemed to be very busy. Also at the park is a very small, nicely presented agricultural museum, however the artifact signage is only in Portuguese and Chinese. Macau has enough money to create a much nicer, more professional park with a good botanical, zoological and educational facilities rather than this motley collection of attractions.

One of the famous zoo in Macau is Seac Pai Van Park. When I was a primary student, I may go Seac Pai Van Park for an autumn trip each year. We can watch animals, ride bicycle, hiking and barbecue at there. Seac Pai Van Park has a good environment, the air is fresh, less people and less car there. When I was a primary student, I always hike with the teacher few times in one day. I like hike because the view on the mountain is great. Then I may barbecue with my friends, when we were a child, we also like to barbecue sausage, marshmallow…etc. I think Seac Pai Van Park has most kind of animals in Macau, if you want to be close to nature, you can choose to go to Seac Pai Van Park. It is beautiful and you can breathe with fresh air. As you like, you can bring some foods to have a panic there as well.

The feature attraction at the Seac Pai Van Park is the Giant Panda Pavilion which is a genuinely unique experience to see two adorable creatures, Xin Xin and Kai Kai for just MOP10 per person.
In addition to the panda experience, at the Seac Pai Van Park you can also see several monkey species, ostriches, peacocks, a South American toucan and a deer species we were not familiar with. There is also a panda info. center, a souvenir shop, koy pond and a few children play areas at Seac Pai Van Park. There is an aviary but its quite a poor visit so we'd skip this one.
Overall, we feel this park on its own is not worth visiting in Macau. However the Panda Pavilion is a very good attraction, especially if you've children. If you do decide to visit on this basis, then you can spend an extra 20 minutes or so seeing the rest of the park, that is probably good enough.

Located in the Coloane area of Macau away from other major attractions in Macau, the Park is most famous for the Giant Panda Pavilion which allows visitors to view the endangered animals in their natural habitat.
Other attractions in the part include a small zoo, a walk-in aviary, gardens dedicated to medicinal and exotic plants, an agricultural museum, a giant panda information center, a lake and a children's playground. The park is also the starting point for two trails - an educational walk within the park and an ecological trail which lead into the surrounding hills.
The park has several entrances. The right entrance has a path leading to the agrarian museum. Further down the path is an old airplane parked on a platform with a circular plaza and children's playground to the right. Both the trails start from this plaza. Further down the path is the snack bar / gift shop and the ticket office with the gardens at the end of the path. Turning right from the ticket office leads to the Giant Panda pavilion which also marks the end of the education walk, zoo, walking aviary, lake and the giant panda information center. The path is lined with Bonsai and flowering plants and the entire area is green with a lot of trees.
The park is a great attraction for nature lovers. Choose cool, clear day and budget at least half a day to enjoy all the attractions in the park or a full day if you want to do the trails.

The park is closed on monday. We went there on sunday and the taxi driver told us that the park is closed. It is lucky that we have checked it before going , otherwise, the taxi driver would drive us to other farther places in order to grab more money from us. The ticket for panda is only mop 10 each. No panda visit session during 1pm to 2 pm. Other than seeing the pandas, kids can have good fun there as there is an outdoor kids playground.
